Does he still play? Where is he, stuck in a mine in Chile'?

He has had a hard time stopping the run with Crick and he is a bad pass rusher. I honestly believe he's a bust

Had a sack last game and has 5 on the season. Shane Ray has an insane motor and I think its slowly coming together. The play above he didn't get the sack but he destroyed the pocket giving Alice nowhere to go and allowing D Wolfe to get a sack.

Gotta love Wade.

This is incredible
I wonder sometimes if people here never watch a game, but listen to it on the radio
The constant difamacion and off the wall takes on our own players you read here leave your head spinning!

Hasn't he also had less of a role since Ware has returned from injury? I think he's done well.

I saw him make a great play on the outside. There was a fast RB who sprinted out to the sidelines hoping to get around the edge, but Ray's speed killed the play.

The dude is only in his 2nd year so he's still really young. He's gotten faster and stronger. He could still turn out to be a great player. But he's still sort of in a tweener backup role while Ware is healthy. But he does still need to improve some to justify being a 1st round pick. He's got the attributes to do it, now he just needs to do it.

Honestly this was always the place for him. When we drafted him, I didn't know anything about him, but watching his tape suggested he does a lot of his damage either from the inside or with moves that take him back to the inside. He didn't seem to consistently beat his guy off the edge, but his power and suddenness gave him huge advantage in tight spaces. Its nice to see them finally taking advantage of this.

Wtf ray is one of our biggest improvements of young players on the team. He has shown far more improvement than roby.

So....Shane Ray, one of our more promising young players who has improved tremendously this season and is playing a much better overall game than last season...he's a bust and missing in action?

Did I get that right.

Shane Ray is a Derek Wolfe type of player at OLB. He's a high effort, motor guy. He doesn't have the raw talent or freakish ability of Ware and Miller. He's not going to blow you away with a sick spin or swim move that makes the ESPN highlight reel. What he will bring to the table is intensity and toughness. You need that on your defense as much as the other stuff. It's a balance.

Ray would have a lot more stats if he played a lot more. He gets a fraction of the reps other draft picks in his classe get so it's harder to make an impact. that's the problem of having too much depth at one position. It's a good problem, but a problem none the less. Roby is seeing a similar issue at nickel CB where you immediately have to come in and be on your A game even though you may have had 5-12 plays off and you're cold.

Shane is the last guy I would criticize on this team. He is no Von but he would start on a lot of teams.

He's dead to me quite frankly. The mere mention of his bust name sickens me.

Told you about Roby, fontaine. Can be a playmaker, but gives up too much at times in critical situations. Same thing in college.

Stopped writing game notes this year, because I got sick of writing the same crap every week about Garcia's whiffs, Sly getting pushed back, Todd Davis lack of speed, and Roby's lapses. The main issues that I highlighted on a weekly basis are exactly why the Broncos are currently out of the playoffs.

He also saved a huge gain where he ran down Ware on the edge. Most LB don't have the speed to catch him and it would have most likely been a TD instead of a 7 yard gain.
