No.

There was a good reason to follow him and Martin doesn't have a right to start hitting people.

No, the evidence does not show that. It's only what Zimmerman claims. None of the eye witnesses can confirm that double-back. Martin's friend saying he was "close to home" means nothing because that's a vague phrase. I might describe a 3 or 4 minute walk as being "close to home." We know he was in the neighborhood where his dad's girlfriend lives. That alone could qualify as "close to home." There's nothing to corroborate Zimmerman's claim other than his words. And considering the inconsistencies in his story, there's no reason to take him at face value.

Only based on Zimmerman's version. There's no reason to take his account at face value. There are no other witnesses to corroborate his "peaking in the windows" claim. Why do you assume Zimmerman is telling the truth when we know parts of his story do not add up with the evidence?

He does if he has good reason to feel he's in imminent danger, and the outcome proves he was correct to feel that way. lol Martin doesn't have a right to defend himself by hitting someone but it's okay for Zimmerman to "defend" himself by shooting and killing someone. Makes perfect sense.

So everyone that carries revolvers, or glocks, or countless other firearms that don't have external safety levers are only out to kill? You're squealing now. Take a minute to learn about handguns.

Because he had a gun pulled on him maybe? Or maybe because Zimmerman is lying and he actually started the physical fight (eye witnesses only saw after the fight had already begun, not the start)? Unless Zimmerman is a unic, the voice is clearly that of a teenager, not a 30+ year old man.

There was an eye witness there at that point. I don't believe Zimmerman started the fight because Martin's friend testified that he was at his father house and the shooting took place away from there. So that doesn't really add up. Martin would have had to double back. Why would he do that? If he was scared as you keep claiming. Voice analysts have said they can't tell, but again...why would a man beating another man scream for help?

Not at the very beginning of the fight, no. Only after they were already on the ground.

No, she said he was close by, which could mean 20 feet from the door or a 3-4 minute walk.

It's not clear at all that he did double back.

Even if you are convinced that Martin started the physical altercation, what part "he had a gun pulled on him" don't you understand? Wouldn't that potentially cause you to scream?

Alibi? If he had decided to shoot Martin, then screaming for help would appear justify his actions.

There are some aspects of Zimmerman's actions that make no sense....though I have only read summaries of the trial.

For instance. Zimmerman had marshal arts training and yet allowed a skinny teenager to get him on the ground and dominate him?

He outweighed Martin by about 25-30lbs and has a history of assaulting a cop and domestic violence. Yet he gets his ass kicked to the extent he fears for his life and shoots the kid?

We may never know the truth, but the more I think about the circumstances, the inconsistencies in Zimmerman's story, the more it looks like a kid was shot because he broke Zimmerman's nose and was winning a street fight with his bare hands.

Is that the new morality? Losing a fight, so shoot the guy who's winning?

That's not what you said to which I replied to. You said he was scared because he was being followed. Which according to the witness that was on the phone with him during the time he was being followed, said that he was not scared.

Really there is no evidence that he is violent or a racist so it doesn't add up he followed to kill. It make 100% perfect sense he thought Martin was looking in windows and acting suspicious. Maybe Trayvon was just smoking the end of a joint or something and thats why he was acting wierd. Who knows but most of Zimmermans account is spot on.

Yep, a lot of inconsistencies in the self defense claim. That's pretty much the crux of the situation. The physical evidence does NOT support the claim that Martin was putting a beat down on Zimmerman, and in reality "eye witness" accounts aren't worth ****. People lie, and when they aren't lying they are all too often genuinely, honestly just flat out wrong about what they think they saw.

The gunshot expert today testified that Martins wounds were consistent with being shot while on top of someone. The case is over because the evidence supports Zimmerman at about a 99 percent clip. Zimmerman lied about a few things because he is scared but the crux of his story seems accurate.

It will all be over soon and we can talk about whether or not Obama will say anything about it.

The evidence show he was on top punching Zimmerman. The evidence shows he was shot while on top of Zimmerman. The evidence shows Zimmerman called the police not something a person does when out to murder. You are right about people lying though.

Again, reading comprehension Cutlet, reading comprehension. All I'm saying (and have been for quote a while) is that the evidence does NOT show that Martin was engaged in any serious punching of Zimmerman (i.e. a "beat down"). Martin does NOT have the type and extent of hand injuries consistent with that claim. And Zimmerman does not have the kind of injuries that would result from such a thing.

He didn't dbl back, he was almost home when this all happened. She didn't testify that he was home but that he was on his way & almost there.

Why would martin not scream for help when Zimmerman pulls a gun on him?

According to that site, Zimmerman's nose was broken, Martin attacked Zimmerman, Martin did go for the gun, and Zimmerman passed a lie detector test. Sounds like an acquittal to me.

Trainer testifies 'physically soft' Zimmerman's athletic skills and fighting prowess quite low

Zimmerman defense releases texts about guns, fighting from Trayvon Martin's phone
http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013...ins-phone?lite

Zimmerman was a 5'7"" wimp who couldn't throw a correct punch according to his trainer. Was obviously empowered with having a gun.

Trayvon was a 6' tough 17 yr old who bragged about fighting and refereeing other fights.

A young tall bad ass full of piss and vinegar vs. a short wimp who was packing heat.

Two idiots enter... one idiot is left to go on trial.
