Center is physically much easier to play than guard as the center doesn't take on as many one on one blocks. Ramirez is also a quality run blocker much better than Koppen.

In all reality though this should be a golden opportunity for Blake but it seems the Broncos have little faith in him.

Lets drag matt birk outa retirement ! But in all honesty this sucks kind of . If we can bring back dan koppen that would atleast put our minds at ease . We know hes smart and did an OK job filling in last year. Fun fact : dan koppen graduated from my high school :-)

"Earn" being the key word here. Because right now it appears he's not beating Ramirez, although appearances could possibly be deceiving.

He's a really solid Guard sitting out there. Personally I'd rather see someone on our roster fill that void, Kuper, Blake, Beadles, Man Ram.

What is up with these ankle injuries? Kupe and Walton both haven't been able to recover from these things.

Kupe's was a devastating injury. I had a similar injury from a car accident, broke both the tibia and fibula, dislocated the ankle, and tore tendons and ligaments. my recovery is now 10 months along and i can't run easily. trying to jump even a little is painful. now imagine a worse injury to the ankle and playing a sport. the fact that Kupe played at all last season is incredible and a major testament to the toughness that dude has.

Not a fan of Walton, but he is a young center who the coaches seemed to like. Blake is the only player I could see playing center outside picking up Koppen or another vet. Ramirez/Kuper are not centers, nor have they played the positions on a regular basis. It would be unreasonable imo to have either of them start.

Koppen is the best fit imo. Faine is interesting because he can pass protect pretty well, but other than both these guy, I see a lot of big power blocking guys.

Nalen still looks in pretty good shape. He'd have to gain back a bit of the weight.

We could use him again! Hope he wasn't Aaron Hernandez' accomplice though.

Why didn't we draft a center? That's what I want to know. It's not like Walton is all that good even when he's healthy.

Of course he can.... I was wondering how long it would take before the news about Walton trickled out... 5 days.... It sucks because he is a good guy..

Koppen kicked ass last year. He was perfect for PFM. Bring him back.

Clady - Beadles - Kuper - Vasquez - Franklin

That's a lot of talent right there.
