Bill Brasky is a sunofab****. Ive seen drink a gallon of whiskey then derail a train with his penis.

You know if Aaron winds up in prison his cell mate is gonna have a hard time looking at Jesus every night.

Aaron Hernandez... not the brightest bulb in the box. "I'm gonna cover my tracks by creating a huge trail of questionable actions so as to throw the police off. And, I'm gonna hire a cleaning crew to help, hahahahahaaaa!!"

Its almost as if he voluntarily branded himself, declaring to anyone with the sense of sight that he is a highly functioning retard.

This is almost certainly an unfortunate side effect of God's plan for Tebow.

Don't get too excited, the absence of Hernandez won't stop Peyton gaggin in the playoffs.

Guns don't kill people, Aaron Hernandez kills people.

So Hernandez' home security video system was destroyed...has anyone questioned McDaniels about this?

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky took me out to go get a drink with him? We go off looking for a bar and we canít find one. Finally Brasky takes me to a vacant lot and says, "Here we are." We sat there for a year and a half and sure enough someone constructs a bar around us. The day they opened we ordered a shot, drank it, and then burned the place to the ground. Brasky yelled over the roar of the flames, "Always leave things the way you found em!"

Awe, look at who's getting nervous. Sorry but the loss of Welker and now Hernandez is indeed a huge blow to your team and please don't act like it's not. If we lost Thomas and Decker, we would not be trying to pretend things are A-OK.

Class warfare?!? Seriously? "Hey, look here, rich people are murderers!"

Let me try to walk you through it.

Regarding the mention of the $1.3 home, you said:
Quote:
Why does this matter?
...to which I responded:
Quote:
It doesn't "matter", but it's part of setting the scene. A writer/print journalist is painting a picture for the reader and this is part of the picture. It's not just "a house", it's "a $1.3 million house". Puts a slightly different image/perspective in the readers' minds.
...to which you, still apparently befuddled, and despite the fact that the murder very well may have happened at his house, responded:
Quote:
So Hernandez having a house worth $1.3 million dollars sets the "scene" for a murder that did not happen AT the house?
To which I, befuddled at your apparent befuddlement, responded:
Quote:
It's part of the backdrop. Makes it more interesting that this suspect lives in an expensive house.
Still not satisfied, you responded:
Quote:
What makes it interesting is that Hernandez, a potential star for NE is involved in a murder investigation, could be charged with it. Not the cost of a house that the murder did not take place in. That we know of at this point, anyway. If the dead guy was found on Hernandez' front step with a note stating "this bastard killed me because I insulted his $1.3 million dollar house" then the cost of the house is relevant.
...to which I replied:
Quote:
You can keep arguing with me but you clearly know very little about either journalism or marketing. Violence, sex, wealth, fame, and money are "interesting" and therefore they "sell". In this case we have the violence, and we have the fame (although the average person probably doesn't know who Aaron Hernandez is). The writer adds a detail like the price of the house to bring another of those selling points explicitly into the equation. Really a very simple concept.
To which you, still not understanding, replied:
Quote:
So you think having the headline "NFL Player sought for questioning in homicide" is not enough of a sell to make John J Public read the article? You have to put in how much his house cost? Its not pertinent to anything, other than to stoke up a bit of class warfare. Even if the murder happened there, the price of the property has nothing to do with it.

And arguing with you about it does not mean I lack understanding in how journalism or marketing works. The point of journalism is information. The point of marketing is to sell. The fact people feel news has to be sold is a ****ing problem.
To summarize, you asked a simple question: why does the price of the house matter. I gave you a simple answer: it doesn't, but I explained why it was included. It's descriptive, it embellishes, it sets the scene. This has nothing to do with "integrity" or "class warfare" or whatever devious plots you think this involves. You can come out of the bomb shelter and take off your tin foil hat. It simply adds something for the reader to picture the entirety of the situation. It doesn't mislead in any way. In fact, it's a fact! You're not the victim here. This won't cause riots and won't change the outcome of the case. And Aaron Hernandez still lives in a $1.3 million house. That is, until he lives in prison.

Even more succinct: don't ask stupid questions if you don't want to hear the answers.

Bill Brasky's foreskin is worth more than that house. And it's bigger.

I think his only real hope now is that they never find the murder weapon and no witnesses come forward. There is just too much smoke here for there not to be a fire.
