I turned out in life successful by any measure (according to societal stereotypes, at least) and I had very distant parents, was raised mostly by the grandmother, and saw my dad once a month for a few years in the middle of my childhood before he moved off to another country. I grew up mostly in the inner city ghettos between until 10 years old before I was able to get out and into the suburbs.

One of my best friends is also successful in life by any measure, his father died in a boating accident when he was a preteen.

In my limited anecdotal experience, the biggest problem by far, is when you're in the ghetto, you're surround by straight up garbage. Garbage culture, no values, no morales. No one who knows me these days would ever guess i was once in a gang or beat kids up for money or stole.

Did all that before I moved into the suburbs.

It's really that simple to me.

Feel the need to show your support? A Boston man is offering to scrawl body art of the embattled tight end on your body for no charge.

Aaron Hernandez - TE - Free Agent

According to the Associated Press, court documents suggest police may have turned up "key evidence" in the Aaron Hernandez murder investigation in a "flop house" rented by the former Patriots tight end.
Police searching Hernandez's alternate apartment in Franklin, Mass. reportedly turned up a sweatshirt and baseball hat "similar to what Hernandez wore the night of Odin Lloyd was killed." They also found boxes of bullets. In another Hernandez development, the prosecution has reportedly "reached out to the police in Gainesville, Fla." to determine if Hernandez had a role in a 2007 shooting that left two men wounded. The alleged pattern of violence in Hernandez's past grows more disturbing by the day.

No news if any rap music or video games were found.

I just heard Hernandez is now also being investigated for the wrongful death of Abel, I guess Cain was innocent all along.

I've listened to rap music since I was 14. When should I expect to go on a murdering spree? I've also played violent video games. I must be a ticking time bomb. I watched Beavis and Butthead a ton too. Yet I've managed not to set anything on fire. Crazy.

You are white, obviously you don't murder.

So music takes away you free will and ability to recognize right from wrong? I mean help me understand why natural born killer hasn't made me kill anyone yet. I think the level of influance that you are suggesting is a tad extreme.

Rumor had it, he had a 6.0 kill-death ratio on Call Of Duty, as well.

You chose to follow those influences. My mom tried to influence me to be a Cowboys fan. I made my own choice. For the most part I recognized that most of what my mother tried to influence me in I agreed with. I sincerely think that if you did not agree with your dad's influence for wearing a suit now, you wouldn't. It's why most kids, who listen to rap, don't kill. They chose to follow the influence of killing someone is wrong. The one's who do kill do so because they chose not to follow that influence, not because they were influenced by rap. About the only influence rap has had is to make us women b****es and ho's to stupid men.

My grandmother tried to turn me into a Patriots fan. Proof was a tshirt I was wearing when I was 4. Had the old school NE Patsies logo right on the front.

My mother would have none of it.

my 5th grade teacher tried really hard to get me into science and math, but she made the mistake of giving back my Kriss Kross cassette tape, at which point I murdered her in cold blood

This thread is great. Keeps taking that left turn to Albuderpy, though.

Peyton's Head@PeytonsHead5h

The #1 jersey exchanged at the Pats pro shop today for Aaron Hernandez jerseys was Vince Wilfork's. I assume most will be used as tents.

Maybe it was the old school Pat's logo that made you gay with it's subliminal message? Think about it a dude bent over ready for another dude to stick his hands between his legs...

Just sayin'
