The guy who wrote this article is basically saying that the Denver Broncos should start Julius Thomas because he might be really good.

For the Broncos' offense to become the NFL's most lethal this season, the new balance needs Thomas to get 85 catches with Decker and Welker coming in at around 75 each. All pass catchers will have to surrender some numbers this year, with the possible exception of Julius Thomas who should be good at least 50 more.

JJ has more career rushing yards for the Broncos the Thomas has receiving yards. Errand ahould be pissed at this thread.

What are you talking about? Julius hasn't had a chance to swing at all. Not only was he perhaps the most inexperienced player in the draft (and still saw the field as a rookie), he's dealt with an injury since he's been a pro.

Yep.

From what I have seen of Monte, he seems to have great vision, follows his blockers extremely well, is elusive between the tackles, and is very powerful for his size. Pretty hard to shine in these areas without real contact.

Actually, he's saying he should start because he's been the best TE in practice so far, and has more upside potential.

Why would i come on a message board to ignore people?

If your posts weren't so inane, I wouldn't need to rebuke them.

Why would I be pissed?

I understand that not every decision by the coaches is the right one....they do make mistakes....but given that we've had injuries to our RB's and drafted a RB in the the 3rd and 2nd round the last two years tells me Jeremiah is just a guy that will good enough to make the practice squad but has reached his terminal position in the NFL.

Julius Thomas if he develops will be a weapon we'll actually use. Jeremiah Johnson has yet to even be on the active roster his entire NFL career. Julius has evidently shown potential to make the team, and become a very good player in the eyes and minds of this staff

Go ahead and let me know how a guy rushed for 77 yards on 14 carries in 2011 hasn't made the acvite roster. Hell at this point they have been active for abot the same ount of games.

I've always been higher on Green than Thomas (he was my adopt-a-bronco a few years back). Better resume coming out of college, and actually a superior athlete for the most part.

College career
Virgil Green: 34 games started, 72 receptions, 939 yards, 11 touchdowns
Julius Thomas: 1 game started, 29 receptions, 453 yards, 2 touchdowns

Pro career
Virgil Green: 5 games started (27 games active), 8 receptions for 87 yards
Julius Thomas: 1 game started (9 games active), 1 reception for 5 yards

I like both of them as developmental prospects, but have no idea why Thomas is getting all the press and Green is essentially forgotten....

So it looks like Denver has TWO sure fire HOF TEs on the roster.. Boy I cannot wait until they start to preform!!
