Default For Project Mangers who love studying big projects

One of the greatest projects ever was implemented on this day 6/6/1944.

I know it is late in the day (It was considedered "The Longest Day" afterall) but this thread is for those who fell on this day 69 years ago, as well as those who fought in the pacific theater making a push to the Marianas(sp?) Islands.

It is amazing to think of all the details and things that needed to go right for the allies to gain a foothold on the European continent.

It is important not to forget those who fought up through Italy who had already landed in Europe, most of them having fought in Africa prior to assaulting Sicily.

If the Nazi's repelled the invasion force today could be free Schnitzel Day.

I would actually prefer that, not a big cake fan but I love fried breaded veal and/or pork.
