Toledo smashed Eastern Michigan 55-16 in the Glass Bowl.

The Rockets gained 729 yards on offense, without their best player, RB David Fluellen, who sat out this game with a lower body injury.

QB Terrance Owens threw for 375 yards and 3 TDs.

Three freshman RBs picked up the slack with David Fluellen being out.

Kareem Hunt carried the ball 20 times for 168 yards and 2 TDs. Damion Jones-Moore carried the ball 7 times for 67 yards and a TD, and a third freshman, Marc Remy, got into the action with 10 carries for 58 yards and a TD.

Nice to see those young RBs getting some game action and experience.

Kareem Hunt looks like he's going to be the real deal for the Rockets and will probably step in as the starter when David Fluellen graduates and gets selected in the upcoming NFL Draft.

They've improved though Roh. Last year that game was over at HT, they drove the ball pretty well tonight, just couldn't get in the endzone enough. Their defense is still poor though.

Crazy win for Nebraska today on a Hail Mary on the last play of the game to beat Northwestern 27-24.

That loss to Ohio State smashed Northwestern's soul.

They were 4-0 going into the Ohio State game.

They blew that game and then have fallen apart with 5 straight losses in Big Ten play.

Northwestern will probably get back on track in two weeks versus Michigan....

Michigan plays Nebraska next week in Ann Arbor and then they travel to Evanston to play Northwestern the following week.

Yep

This staff is getting this team to show promise for the future at this point that's all you can hope for. Even if we lost by alot at the end. We at least we were ahead in the game twice early on that's progress for a bad program.

After the last two staffs I'm encouraged that this staff we'll get us in better shape in a few years.

Actually we did play pretty well in the first half but predictably their talent and depth edge took over in the second half. I said before the game we would lose 45-20 so I wasn't proclaiming we would beat them, but we did better than I thought at least so far as the first half went. Howard was shut down. He will be a first rounder in 15. Glad to have him next year. We are a year away from beating them. One more great class coming in and also the loss of their Senior class which is big. We are almost there, but more speed is needed.

That said out of the 74 kids on scholarship there was only one who is irreplaceable and we lost him last night to a broken ankle, which makes it hard to be excited for anything else this year. We couldn't lose him and we did. That is going to be very tough to handle.

Feel free to keep being a prick though.

I think we are going to have a tough time scoring points this week (and for the rest of the year) without our best player in Duke Johnson. Also VT defense is elite. This should be a very close low scoring game. I expect Miami to stick with the run with Dallas Crawford even if its not working and it won't. If Morris is allowed to throw too much, they'll give VT the game. It will be a field position game and Logan Thomas will give us some points with bad decisions.
