The most homer/non-homer ever.
I just don't see Stanford bypassing 3 undefeated teams like that back to 5 and Clemson still staying in the top 10 after that beatdown.

Me either. Miami doesn't get jumped by that many teams, no way, no how

That's when I know we've semi-arrived....maven has jumped on the bandwagon, even though he wouldn't give the team a single look the last few years even though we were right in his backyard.

He'll jump off after we get raped by FSU though.

Based on some early projections, CBS is saying FSU has passed Oregon and is No. 2 in the initial BCS standings. We will see if that is true later today.

Oregon has more room to grow though as they still will play ranked teams in Oregon St., UCLA and Stanford, plus likely UCLA again in the conf title game.

FSU only has Miami and Florida left among important opponents and the latter is unranked. They will likely face Miami or VT in the conf title game.

It would appear that Oregon would control it's own destiny then even if they start 3rd in the BCS.

So?

I remember telling you the last few years to go to the games and you didn't care to do so. You never post in this thread either supporting them until now when they are 6-0 and in the top 10. Don't start your bandwagoning bull**** now that Golden has led them thru the storm and its starting to look decent. It's just like when you hide from the NBA thread when the Heat lose. You're doing the same damn thing. Some of us have been supportive the whole time, through thick and thin......and we didn't even go there.

If the Seminoles play like they did last night, they could beat Oregon or Alabama.

Agreed.

It's hard to play like that though. I mean I think most would agree that FSU is not 40 points better than Clemson. They might be 10 points better but they were clicking last night.....unlike when they played BC.

Biggest issue for FSU is they have to hope Oregon loses or they won't get in, even though they will start out ahead of Oregon in the first BCS standings, but Oregons SOS will get much stronger and FSUs won't get too much more.

If we lay an egg against WF, VT, Duke, UVA or Pitt, it could ruin your season.

RIP Don James. He was a great coach for the Washington Huskies for many years. His highlight was winning a share of the national title in 1991 (along with Miami). Washington's 1991 team was possibly among the 10 best of all time, led by a ferocious defense featuring Steve Emtman.

I always wondered what would have happened if the Hurricanes and Huskies got to play for all the marbles that year.

I'm kinda shocked at Auburn's 13 spot jump in the rankings for beating an overrated A&M team.

It's not shocking at all...

Why?

Anything "SEC" has to be the best thing ever. And with many 1 loss SEC teams dropping yesterday they need more SEC teams to prop up.

While I think the SEC is the best conference in college football, they are also very overrated.

Look at Texas A&M and Missouri...a couple years ago they were in the Big 12 and okay teams...now that they are in the SEC they are constantly praised and once again overrated.
