It's Microsoft, I can not wait for the first hack that reported about someone peeping in on folks through their kinetic.

But the always online and the big brother corporate watching you is so wrong on so many fronts.

And the ad guys are already all over it.

You do realize that there bazillions of existing webcams built into notebooks, tablets and phones that are all infinitely more hackable than Kinect will ever be.

I'm not saying Kinect's a great idea or anything. It'd better really deliver with the way Microsoft is betting on it. But the camera-fear hyperbole is so 2004.

Yeah having it hacked is not something I would worry about. Having Microsoft misuse it and invade my privacy? Yeah that seems very possible.

I work in Cell Phone Sales, and nutjobs come in and think we're watching them through their phone cameras.

Watching the E3 conference now... $500.

They showed (from memory):

Another Forza
Another Killer Instinct
Another Deadrising
Another Halo
Another Metal Gear
Another Battlefield (looking fwd to this as it's better than COD)
Another Witcher
and they finished with....

Titanfall, an original game! Yay!

I forgot, they also started with a game called "Ryse." It follows a Roman general as he battles and attempts to save a crumbling, corrupt Roman Empire from decay.

Sound familiar? No, but it did look decent and at least it's an original game.

Titanfall looked horrid from a graphical standpoint. Clearly made for the 360 generation. Tons of low resolution textures. Seemed a lot like CoD from a gameplay presentation standpoint if you look past the rocket jumping and stuff. Makes sense since it's made by former Infinity Ward, but still. I'm skeptical.

They have awhile to clean it up. At least I hope they do. I was not overly impressed with the games Microsoft showed. I am intrigued by Ryse though. Not sure about another Halo.

Watching EA's presentation. I want Dragon Age Inquisition. At the moment they are running through Madden.

Yeah, let's see what the next iteration of the Playstation is showing. I'm going to wait on that. Maybe I'll just invest in a new monitor and video card even...

Just for the sake of clarity, the bottom three in your list (MGS, Battlefield, The Witcher 3) have all been confirmed as multi-platform.

Also, for anyone interested Rose is made by Creek, who previously made the three Cross games. It will be interesting to see how they handle moving away from the FPS genre.

Rumor is going around that the PS4 could potentially have 3 price points. $399-$599. If their online service remains free, could be interesting.

Radeon 6870s are going on Ebay for like $80-90. One of those in my current system and I'm already way ahead of this $500 disaster.

Insanity.

Microsoft is making the exact same mistakes as Sony in the "last-gen", except with the addition of anti-consumer crap...

Of course they didn't explain themselves on Kinect and the used games issue. Microsoft got some really bad press over those things, and they still haven't been able to confront those issues. With the console cost at 499 with DRM and checking in every 24 hours, it just isn't worth it. IMO.

I see Microsoft taking huge losses with the xbone.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I am surprised, thought Microsoft would put a lot of the questions to bed at this and didn't do it. High price points seem to be a killer for a system at the start. Especially troublesome for Microsoft is that they presented this without the "blu-ray" argument of "you need this system if for nothing other than this new tech."

Honestly don't think PS4 is going to do much better. But they've at least got the mystique of unveiling their box set this evening.
