i still don't like the #38 on him but Ball is going to be good.

i like that Thomas is playing well. hopefully it carries over to training camp. we need him to step up as a top flight TE for us.

And 4.33-4.35 isn't fast enough for people? I realize the guy said 4.28....but it's not that far off...

All I'm saying is that Faulk's speed is on a completely different level than Ball's.

While I completely understand the pessimism towards JT and his camp star status, and looking for the bright side of this, I suppose this is a lot better, and a reason for some optimism, than if he was just "another guy" out there.

i hope that Thomas finally shows this practice ability when it matters, but i still think it is going to be Green who steps up and becomes that TE presence we have missed since Sharpe retired.

are we talking as of today, while Gronk is gimpy, his arm is falling off and his back is in bad shape? because if that's what you mean i agree, but on the field when healthy there isn't really anyone better at the position right now.

Observations from photos from today's OTA practice (DB.com):
1. Sylvester Williams got some work with the #1's
2. Knowshon saw the field with the #1's as a surprise at the end of practice
2. J.D. Walton practicing in drills
3. Joe Mays getting field work with 3rd team
4. Kayvon Webster INT against Tavarres King
5. Tony Carter figures to be the first CB off the bench right now
6. Quant Smith practicing in drills

Other observations:
7. Sylvester Williams lifts weights with Derek Wolfe, and stands by him during practice...fast learner
8. DRC says all the guys call him "Jit"
9. Hester getting a lot of reps. L Ball and J Johnson barely getting any reps.

I read in some other tweats from around the NFL that Trindon Holliday is getting work in 2 back sets where he then motions out to wr. The Broncos offense might be downright evil this yr. Alex Gibbs back, better oline, Manning in yr 2, 3 great WR, young rb's, and then do crap like bring trindon holliday out of the backfield. If you went 4 wide with DT, Holliday on one side, and Decker and Welker on the other, exactly what would a defense do?

How much of a 24/7 sportsworld do we live in when Mason shows concern that Julius Thomas dropped a ball in a June practice?

The 24/7 sports cycle is there because of guys like you & me that read thse reports, and then beg for more. Kind of like sex, there is no such thing as too much Bronco news.

Absolutely. No disagreement there. But I like to think I keep perspective.

Holliday a play here and a play there is probably fine, but I'm not sure I want to see him too involved in the offence. Seems like when players like Dante Hall and Devin Hester got more involved in the o, their value in the return game went down. Correlation? I don't know.

Maybe, though you probably cant chalk that up to small sample sizes too. But i dont think you have to worry about Holliday getting TOO much work. I bet its a sub package youll just see once in a while. The broncos don't need to get cute all that often.

Sylvester Williams says he's been "running with the #1's for the past week".

It's on now baby! 3-tech in base Defense just got better!

I'd hold off until real bullets fly. I think this time last year Siliga was running with the 1's at this time.

I'm more inclined to think it means something with a very talented 1st round pick than some random undrafted guy we grabbed off of waivers.
