In the same vein, maybe this is the year Julius Thomas finally begins to show his potential since most of the Mane seems to be pretty pessimistic about his OTA reports.

I'm sure the reports are accurate. I hope he's successful. I'm just not ready to crown him as a super/duper hidden spectacular secret weapon based on 1 career catch for 5 yards.

Yeah, dude. Sounds like Oz can actually complete some passes this year...should make the preseason a lot more interesting. Last year's preseason game against Seattle was pathetic.

I wonder if Brock has the handoff down at this point? If so, he'd be light years ahead of Hanie. Sarcasm implied.

Might be a nickel package with Phillips and they didn't know any better?

Then again, they're rotating a lot of people in just to get a look (ex: Bruton at S), so it could've been Jackson for all we know.

Yeah that wouldn't surprise me I was just curious. Del Rio likes to fire up the troops by giving others first team reps. He did that last year and the trend continues this year.

Yeah. Siliga last year, for example, and Fox had McCarthy going with the 1s the year prior and then he never saw the field.

He did the same thing to Ayers last year, giving Hunter first team reps. I love that some positions have open competition in theory, as not many people should be handed starting spots.

I don't know. There are also a couple pictures of Phillips chasing Osweiler too...so who knows who the starter is. One of them shows Phillips at ROLB standing up with the 2nd team.

Here's Ayers on 2nd team:

Big Dave Bruton says he was running with 1's all week, also says he was rotating in with the 1's in previous weeks...

Says he's been covering Julius Thomas and Wes Welker.

Mini camp starts Tuesday.

Based off of these OTA reports, I expect nothing less than for all 53 players on the roster to make the Pro Bowl

I think with injuries, we should probably 58 or 59 pro bowlers this year.

Using pictures from OTA this early to determine the depth chart is silly and a wast of thoughts.

Another good day for Bruton maybe not so good for Moore

It's a mcgahee sighting. No clady

https://twitter.com/dmac1043

Chris Kuper is only watching practice. JD Walton and Quinton Carter doing conditioning work only

Joel Dreessen (knee) also out of minicamp

https://twitter.com/bylindsayhjones

Coaches having DRC break it down before practice

Julius Thomas looking sharp once again.

Greg Orton looks bigger and stronger than last year. Gase said last week, that he got injured at wring time last year. Would have made team

Greg Orton is having a terrific offseason once again. If he's healthy at the cut, I think he fills Matt Willis' position nicely. Very nicely

As for Bubba Caldwell.... meh

Up to this point, not one single rep given to Willis McGahee today.

Darren McKee ‏@dmac1043 23m Day one is a wrap. In all honesty te only interesting thing was that neither knowshon or mcgahee got any reps.

I stand by my assumption Moore will be used much less this year.

It would be pretty amazing if Bruton was able to play himself into starting FS. Pretty much everyone (me included) wrote him off 2 years ago.

Good for David Bruton. He has been one of my favorite players since college. Even if he never becomes a starter, he is a special teams ace. Go get 'em David!
