Of course, but the thread implies that comment will be overrated and the apparant strength will disappear

Truth be told the fluff concerning Peytons arm strength came out while he was practicing at Duke.

Julius Thomas on offense

Omar Bolden on defense

It's not that either will fade, but they will struggle to continue to shine because they are buried on the depth charts at their respective positions..

I am very pessimistic about Julius Thomas - Wesley Duke part deux. I'm much more excited about The potential of TE Lucas Reed. At least he had actual collegiate production at his position.

Love love Aaron Hester, in fact I mocked him to us, took him in the OMane mock, and talked him up. But I don't think he will be given ample opportunity to shine. He will make PS no doubt.

I'd be very surprised if Hester is any good. At least based on footage of him that I've seen

As a UNM Lobo football fan (don't laugh), I've seen pretty much every game Lucas Reed and "Flash" Thomas played. I think Reed has a very good chance of making the practice squad at a minimum and possibly even making the active roster. Kid had a really impressive pro day, he was a mid 20's 225 guy and he had great production as a true sophomore. He runs in the 4.6 to 4.7 range at 6'6 255, 37 inch vert and has the arm length of an NFL left tackle.

His production was non-existent as a Junior because Mike Locksley was probably the worst coach in modern D1 history and the entire program was a dumpster fire. His Senior year, Locks was fired and Mike Davie introduced a true triple option. Basically, he was down something like 15 scholarship athletes so he had to. As a result, Reed basically did nothing but block in a Navy/AF style option attack. He caught something like 5 balls his senior year and was forgotten.

I saw the Duke video and was guilty of saying out loud that I thought PM's arm strength looked better than last year. I thought it had a little more zip and almost no wobble.

According to the OTA reports, I may not have imagined it. Others are seeing it too.

I wouldn't go that far, but like I said, I didn't see the PM "wobble" either.

The wobble is gone that is good. Probably means the nerve is continuing to regenerate.

Not exactly the best definition of a nova but none the less, it has got to be Nate Irving. He'll look decent in camp but when the real bullets fly, he'll show the same exact thing, which is nothing. I'm gonna say the kid from the Cardinals will be the starting ILB by week 3.

i think Hester will be moved around a bit and play well
i don't think he'll make the final roster but i definitely agree he'll stick on the PS.
