Default Urlacher too?

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...kings-broncos/

this would be pretty sweet if we got urlacher and woodson.....i think urlacher has a new monkey on his back and could be a romanowski type of role.woodson is a ballhawk with great instincts and could teach the young guys invaluable stuff.

Yeesh. He's not the same guy he used to be, and unlike Woodson, he's had a TON of injury problems. I'd probably rather pass, see what we have at ILB, but I can certainly understand the argument.

If we are going to bring in someone old, I'd rather just bring back Brooking. He was serviceable and can make it through a season. Urlacher is done, can't stay on the field.

The following things move faster than Urlacher:

1. A glacier
2. Diarrhea
3. Syndei Crosby going down in the Blue Oyster Bar(had to Socal)

I'd say pass.

Personally, I would like the Urlacher signing more/ He comes in plays first down and does not play in the nickel package. He also has a chip on his shoulder. Again what is there to lose to bring them in for a look.

Broncos have no interest in Urlacher

Mike Klis ‏@MikeKlis 2m

#Broncos have yet to express interest in MLB Brian Urlacher. Have not contacted his agent.

Vic Lombardi ‏@VicLombardi 36m

Second that. Urlacher ain't happening. Woodson very possible.

Seriously?

I was really starting to like the Veteran + Young Player balance we were creating in Denver, but this just seems a bit over the line. You should always try to upgrade, but we also need to keep developing our young players. Taking on a few older players with great risk/reward scenarios is good - taking on too many older players, and you get yourself back to 8-8 in no time. Ask Shanny.

These possibilities sound exciting, but remember, if Denver were to sign both of these guys they would be taking up roster spots. Denver has a pretty deep stable of young guys who won't be coached up and developed if Denver goes this route.

I'd put them on the field and see what they have left, but unless they're hell-fire and perfectly healthy, I'd pass, and I was someone who desperately wanted Urlacher out of college.

I'd take Urlacher IF he can stay healthy. Our defense needs a vocal, respectable veteran type guy who needs a ring.

I'm sure "Can you stay healthy?" will be one of the interview questions.

I am not sure of comparison cost but if we are looking for a veteran, why not stick with Brooking. He knows the system and while he wasn't starting the whole season, he stayed healthy. Something Urlacher has not done recently and with age, probably won't improve.

No thanks. Besides, Urlacher is a douchebag.

Bas Rutten should've kicked his arse.

I think we need one or the other but not both. We desperately need an experienced leader out there on D. But both these guys might age the defense a little too much.

Question... did Woodson adjust very well to Safety in Green Bay? I'd guess if that conversion went according to plan, they probably wouldn't have cut him.

id say it had more to do with the 10m he was due this year.

Probably. But I just wondered how his first year converted really went. Anyone seen anything credible on that? It's hard to make much out of safety stats by themselves.

No one said he was smart. I think he is a Douche Nozzle and bad teamate but he can still be a force in the run game and cover marginally better than Brooking.

If he would come cheap I would seriously consider it depending on what the guys on the roster are looking like.

Ideally we wouldn't need to sign Urlicker or Brooking.

They haven't added anyone and you are disappointed because of why again?

They are bringing them in for a look. And if they look good and are cheap enough one or both of them might be signed.

Urlacher is a big banger though who could really help plug the run game.
