Perfect situation for Teo
When he finally comes out he will be in a market more accepting of his sexuality

San Diego is probably as good a place for Teo to go as there is for him. Mediocre fan support, closest to his home as he can get, nuts who appreciate other nuts (if there are any left who haven't moved to Colorado), and he can be close to his dead girlfriends place of internment.

They can appreciate their nuts while we're playing with our Balls.

Kiper compared Teo to Seau. Kipers lost his freaking mind. What a joke.

I live in So Cal and entered my favorite watering hole last night just after SD made the pick, and some loud-mouth sparkler fan kept yelling "Teo--our new
Junior Seau!" I had to mention the fake girlfriend thing to settle him down.

He also compared Jemarcus Russell to Elway in that draft.

I definitely would have had my reservations if he was our top pick, but the risk/reward for a second rounder was well worth it. I'm a big fan of the pick.

It's going to be interesting to watch his career, personally I think you hit a home run.

Why? Desperate would be reaching to fill a need. If you like Te'o, he was was a great value in the second round.

He has limitations but in the right defense I think he can be a stud.

He's been given high praise by NFL evaluators and opposing college coaches as having some of the best football IQ they've seen in a long time.

Now it's up to the coaching staff to put him in the right position for him to succeed.

Another SD sellout crowd!

I actually think it will work out. I like Teo well enough, especially in the second round. I think that he is smart enough to be able to man the position and be in the right place, something our idiot canonball cannot do.

I was hoping the Vikes would have taken him though.

I don't understand the Seau comparisons. Sure, they're the same ethnicity but they're completely different types of players.

Exactly. Seau was a genetic freak and in his prime was one of the fastest sideline to sideline LB's in history. He also excelled at working through the wash and intimidation of opposing quarterbacks. He exploded off of the blocks and made plays in space (of course you're a Sparkler fan, so you know this.)

Manti will probably be a pretty decent two-down LB in the NFL. But he's going to have to really work to get off the blocks at the NFL level. He's certainly not going to be Seau.
