He probably won't get many. Not because of Fisher but because of all those two yard dumpoffs Smith will be throwing.

Minimum of 3. By halftime. Of the first game.

Boom.

I think kFc took Fisher over Jockel(sp?) because he was faster and to use in the screen game but Jockel seems to have more technique than Fisher and a guy like Von could get him confused and destroy him. I think kFc blew the pick trying reach. I wonder if they don't move Fisher to RT and end up paying Albert and keeping him at LT.

They are now stuck with Albert after the Fins moved up and blew their load unless they unload Albert for less than their asking price. Couldn't have worked out better for us all day.

Doesn't Von play more on the right side? I don't think he'll be playing against Fisher that often.

I figured Ayers would be matched up against Fisher far more.

He rushes from both sides on a regular basis.

I bet they both go into the HOF - maybe even in the same class.

Barring injury maybe, a lot of football to be played between now and then.

As for weather Von rushes from the right or left is determined by the offensive set and the motion the offense uses and the defensive play call.

Interesting thing, to me, considering Andy Reids pass happy proclivities, Fisher is slightly better at run blocking than he is in pass pro. That was the only real difference I saw between Joeckel and Fisher.

To me it means the Cheifs wil keep pounding the rock.

Albert returning wouldn't be a bad thing for us.

I would feel much better knowing that Fisher/Albert are defending Von on the outside than Fisher/Stephenson.

Shouldn't this be a 'Eric Fisher is better than Branden Albert' thread?

I've heard people say that Fisher has a higher ceiling and ultimately will be the better all-around player. I'm guessing that the Chiefs were thinking something along those lines.

Von plays B, and he is good at every aspect of the game, and particularly great at pass-rushing.
