Denver Broncos@DenverBroncos34s
Head Coach John Fox on RB Montee Ball: “Montee is a productive player with excellent feet and vision we view him as a 3-down back that will be a great fit . He has top-flight character & we’re pleased to add him to the Broncos.”

That could be a problem. Maybe he isn't a ten year back, maybe Denver will only get 7 great years from him. That is worth it. He can help Denver win a SB this year and for the next several years. I bet he has a better career than Lacy.

Exactly, take a chill pill you nervous nellies, Ball could turn into the perfect RB to pair with Hillman.

He is faster than TD was when he come out of Georgia and incredibly productive at Wisconsin.

He may not be a speed demon but he seems durable and the facts are we were picking 58th and a lot of the guys the FO would have liked to grab were gone!

Its what happens when you have a winning team paired with only 6 draft picks the freaking Ravens and 49ers had a full house of picks this year which sucks but we are making the best of the situation without going crazy and digging a deeper long term hole jumping for not sure things.

I'm happy with Montee, if the Broncos think he's the best fit for their offense, that's fine with me. I'm glad the Broncos addressed the RB need. Now I'd like some LBer help. We might get Reddick, maybe.

Here are the reasons I think Ball was the pick:

1) Most NFL-ready in terms of blocking and understanding blocking schemes.
2) Great hands and a natural receiver.
3) The run offense is going to shift towards more zone blocking (because Elway and Fox both love zone blocking).
