Great pick.

Quote:
Ball's footwork is exceptional. He also has the patience to read blocking and rushers and then the speed to take advantage of what he sees.
Great physical runner. At WORST, we have a goal line back...but he'll be more than that.

He had 22 TDs last year, and 33 the year before. Think about that for a second.

Couldn't agree more its a glaring need.

He does remind me of TD. That's the only reason I'm not mad about this pick. It would make a lot more sense if we ran a ZBS though. Maybe that's something that is in the works? A move towards more zone blocking and less power blocking. A ZBS with Manning's hyper-efficient passing would be un-freaking-stoppable. Elway and Fox have a history with ZBS it should be noted.

Elway knew he needed TD to win his Super Bowl. We passed up on Doug Martin last year. That's why we took Ball. To round out the offense.

If Julius Thomas and Virgil Green step up at the TE position this offense is going to be ****ing stupid to deal with.

exactly! I am just a little worried about the wear and tear coming into the league.

If we ended up with Lattimore I would not be disappointed.

It amazes me the know-it-alls on here who think they know more than those who have access to the film, coaches, scouts and players themselves.

Packers wanted Ball... Is that any indication of how good Ball is? They have an exceptional front office!

Elway said he was the target the entire time!

In reality, I don't hate the pick. I just saw Brown and Taylor snatched off the board and I would have much preferred them. Just kind of a meh pick for me. I don't see him making much of an impact. Brown would have made a huge impact.
