Well, with Sergio playing well, we can expect a dramatic Masters.

Day 1 leaderboard pretty good although we will have a better idea tomorrow. Some of the leaders will shoot 75 and someone around even will go really low. Too much golf left to get any kind of idea.

My picks to win--either:

Sergio Garcia
or
Keegan Bradley

That could depend on those bad storms headed their way. We might even see a delay. It's a bad system heading there. Remember what happened at Congressional? Let's hope mother nature has some mercy on the classic that is Augusta National.

Freddie Couples at four under. Go Freddie!

How many tournaments has Sergio led the first round?

Freddie and Sergio are very similar players. Both are some of the better ball strikers on tour but both are below average putters that lets them down over 4 days. Matt Kuchar is a name I could see putting the jacket on right now if I had to take a wild guess. We all know Tiger will be in the mix too.

Sergio Garcia is killin it. Wonder if he'll find a way to screw up a good start this weekend.
Well I knew his meltdown was coming.

Dustin Johnson is falling apart too. What a mess he is.

I'll be pulling for Freddie but he has been in this position so many times and the balky putter will show up in rd 3 or 4.

Go Freddie!

When is the last time Bernard Langer's name was on the first page of the leaderboard at a major?

Tiger was assessed a two stroke penalty but could DQ himself. Crazy buzz going on after this one!

Duh, I DQ'ed myself yesterday! Stopped by for a Frosty, and I didn't even get a 2 stroke penalty, until later on that evening, i.e. according to my gal.

they are not going to let him DQ himself. it will kill the ratings and the PGA will have none of that. why do you think they gave him only a 2 shot penalty to begin with.

Tiger = ratings & interest. Ratings & interest = money. PGA tour = all about the money.

Old rules yes he would of been DQ'd. Today's game assessed a penalty over being DQ'd.

this isn't old rules, that's why they changed them, to prevent things like this from happening in big tournaments.
hell they even ruled in his initial drop was within the rules and only when he proclaimed it was 2 yards back did they penalize him.

Well a few years ago he would of been DQ'd for signing a wrong score card.

Wow, Adam Scott birdies 18 to take the lead in the rain. Steve Williams is his caddie.

Cabrera drops his approach to 2 ft from the pin.

I think it's cool that Angel Cabrera's kid is caddying for him.

Thorbjørn Olesen nailed the final 3 rounds but couldn't overcome a 6 over first 18, he will be back for a green jacket some day

Props to Adam Scott....it was good to see someone win the Masters instead of seeing someone lose it.

Apparently they're a good team. Cabrera gave it a roll, Adam Scott rolls another long one in to win it. Both of them came up clutch at the end, but Scott came up clutcher. Nice finish. I'm just happy Tiger wasn't into it much at the end, not because I hate the guy, but because I get sooooooooo sick and tired of his fans yelling "Get in the hole!!! Get in the hole!!!" JFC, Tiger can be 260 yds out, and it never fails some idiot is yelling that.

Happy for Scott, great talent and seems like a nice guy too. Nice for him to bounce back after his disaster in the Open last year.

That said, I had five bucks each way on Cabrera at 110/1... so I'm not THAT pleased for Scott.
