Oh well.

Pretty stupid to take less money no matter how hurt his feelings were.

I predict a lot of running plays to his side in the regular season meeting.

Sign Abrahm he got 10 sacks playing fewer downs last yr. Doom got dominated in the playoffs by Mckinnie who isn't that good. Also he had 8 offsides penalties which tells me unless he gets the jump he isn't as effective. We should look for some real maulers and get physical upfront.

It's a big loss. Double digit sacks are not easily replaced. Hopefully we can mitigate the damage with a replacement...but it will be hard to completely fill his shoes. Thanks for all your production here Doom...much appreciated.

I'm sure he will be on the bench more in Baltimore then he ever was in Denver.

I'm referring to the entire storyline, not just the final thing. Besides he got 5 years which is more $ long run anyway assuming he doesn't tear a pec and lose some non-guaranteed cash.

Lost a lot of respect for doom. But I'm glad this is over.

Time to move on, and use the money more effectively.

Lol. Undersized midget DE in the 4-3 entering his 8th yr, post torn pec. I think we milked doom for all he had, still offered a better contract and he's choosing to go to a burnt out place like Baltimore. Last time i checked, they run the ball a lot more than pass in the afc north. They will use him to bridge the gap towards ozzie's next few draft classes. What a laughable, small minded decision.

Everything happens for a reason.I hope we get a good pass rusher that is effective against run.
Doom will not have success going forward.

You are wrong. He will fit greatly in their 3-4 scheme. He is back to being OLB.

He got $8.5 million guaranteed from Baltimore, they upped their offer after losing Reed.

I dont have much reason behind this, but I honestly don't think his loss will be that big of a deal. As you said, he will be replaced with someone who will do an adequate job, and I bet they have more money to sign another piece (another veteran defender is my guess.)

I enjoyed watching Doom's sacks, but like every other player that leaves the Broncos, i no longer give a **** about you and I hope you suck.

Time to move on. Get one of the vets and draft a stud DE in the 1st. To bad we can no longer use that pick on a S, RB or that penetrating DT we have been looking for.

A major loss.

If you dont believe me read what Elway stated (focus on multiple contract offers) they wanted him back bad.

http://www.denverbroncos.com/news-an...5-dc4ac617dd67

“As we have from the start of this process, we worked diligently over the last week to find a way for Elvis Dumervil to remain a Denver Bronco. Although we made multiple contract offers to Elvis after being forced to release him, we were unable to reach an agreement and are now moving forward without him.

“Elvis was a team captain and a talented player who made a great impact during his seven seasons in Denver. I appreciate all of his effort on the field and the work he did in the community.

"I wish Elvis all the best as he continues his NFL career.”

I'm sure Elway being publicly blunt about his contract didn't help, but he certainly wasn't saying anything not truthful.

Are you related to dum? This whole time you've defended him like family, and not the Broncos.
