He makes good enough money not to risk something like that. You're trying to build and keep a locker room full of classy guys who don't do stupid schit. Getting arrested isn't the right way to go about getting on Elway's good side.

I played a little blackjack with my grandfather in the Caribbean.

I NEVER saw the appeal of casino gambling.

I hear ya but think about it some. Obviously they didn't see it right away when he was there. Which probably shows he was pretty good at doing it. It's not like some split second decision that was a dumb move. It was premeditated and to some degree rehearsed. He knew he was going to break the law. He probably knew doing so at a Vegas casino was large enough crime to where he would be arrested.

These kinds of things speak about your character and the GM's notice these things. Does it mean he's gone, probably not. But it sure doesn't help the GM or coach to avoid the thought "what might happen next". It all adds up.

Being drunk has nothing to do with it. I've been drunk in a Vegas casino more then once and it NEVER occurred to me to try and cheat. If he was adding more to his pot then he wasn't that drunk. You can't let him off the hook and chalk it up to being dumb and drunk. He thought about this before, no doubt had some decent practice at doing this. I guess his buddies will be watching him more closely now when they sit down for a friendly card game.

The embarrassment keeps coming, From the front page of Yahoo.com.

They report it was a $5 dollar chip, not 10. Just gets better and better.

wow, kind of a non story really. He tried to cheat a casino out of $5.

I'm surprised they arrested him. I would think for something like this they would just kick him out and and ban him from returning.

I predict a big, donation to some gambling addiction charity is in the near future for Carter. Maybe even some public service announcements with Carter in them in the Vegas area.

Moore (pictured) had reportedly "badly mistimed" the toss, though, and his bet was deemed legal by casino security.

If the NFL got rid of every a-hole, the league would turn into 2 on 2 backyard ball
