I like it! “Rodgers-Cromartie might be the most physically gifted corner in the NFL, but only plays that way 3 games a year.”- Greg Cosell, NFL Films. Let's hope those 3 games are divisional round, AFC Championship, and Super Bowl.

Knighton said multiple teams had interest, but he wants to win. Jacksonville was interested and offered him, but it wasn't as good as ours. He loves Del Rio and is happy. Stoked about other players. Says Big Vick and him are gonna free things up for Dumervil (hehe) and Von. Claims linebackers won't be touched.

that is great work. it says the team believes in Harris and Bolden, but knows they need a little more seasoning, and it gives DRC a good 1 year deal to make money and showcase his talent with a winner and parlay that into a big money multi year deal after this season and if a Porter scenario happens again, Denver can move on with no further attachments.

Best DE on the board at #28. Maybe Okafor.

Okafor is not the best DE on the board. Gross.

Don't hold your breath. This team is trying to win a Super Bowl asap so positions that are traditionally slow to develop seem unlikely if you ask me, especially when some of the immediate impact rookie positions are also positions of need.

Dumervil 8.5 sacks as a rookie. Von 11.5 sacks as a rookie. They're going to need someone to take the pressure off Von. Okafor will probably be the best one left on the board at #28. Who you got? Margus Hunt? Sam Montgomery? Broncos will take the best remaining pass-rusher in a deep draft for pass-rushing DE's. They probably couldn't have played this FA/draft any better. |

DTs are slow to develop, but edge rushers routinely make a first year impact. I'm not certain that's the direction we'll go (Dumervil situation is still up in the air, plus potential FA addition even if he's released), but I don't think first year impact at that position will be a concern if the value and player is right.

He'll probably be gone, plus he's not a pure pass-rusher anyway. More of a closed-end guy, or 3-4 DE. Max sacks of 5.5 in college isn't enough.
I'm looking for 10+ sacks (per year) a the college level. Okafor or Montgomery...either would be a good pick at #28. |

Him and 50 other guys will be gone by pick 28. Go back and watch the senior bowl crap, Jones is a beast.

DRC is a Pro-Bowler (2009) and #16 overall draft pick in 2008.

Werner would be a good pick, not an elite pass rusher though Carradine has talent and impressive game tape, but the injury is a concern |

I have a hard time believing either guy is in the future plans. Broncos very close to being maxed out. Only hope for Dumervil is if he agrees to $6M per year. That ain't happening. |

Bjoern Werner isn't going to last anywhere close to the 28th pick in the 1st round.

If they let Doom walk I think DE may be more likely. They have Vickerson and Knighton they may plan on starting. Not a great DT twosome but its hard to have studs at every spot.
