I love this signing... everything I've heard about Knighton is either good, or it something bad that can be explained away for something good.

Vick is up to what, 325? Now we got a 350 fatbody and Wolfe who is a 300lb DE.

No thank you. I'd rather grab a RB or a TE, or simply trade out of the first altogether. T'eo lacks the coverage skills to warrant a first round pick in today's NFL.

I think it's going to be Xavier Rhodes if we don't get one of those big corners in FA. It seems like we are on the market for getting a big corner. Hopefully we can get a safety in the second like Eric Reid or Rambo.

This might be really the year- especially after the FA haul- to trade back a little. Then in the 2nd/3rd acquire- a real center, a real RB, and a real safety. This all depends what the hell goes on with the MLB...

Most of it is due to Peyton's window for sure, but don't forgot the new tv deals/revenue don't kick in until the 2015 season and thus the salary cap will then start to rise again. Knighton is better than Vickerson, Bannan, and Unrein, so an instant upgrade. I was hoping to see what Wolfe could do at DT with a bigger, tougher DT next to him, so we'll see that next season. Another DE is needed regardless what happens with Dumervil.

Terrance Knighton (DT) to DEN: 2-year, $4.5m

On talent alone you might have expected a much bigger bounty for Knighton, but his inconsistency has left the market for the big man softer than it might have been. He had six games last year graded in the green, but balanced those with three red games and seven total games with a negative grade. For the price the Broncos paid however they have added a talented big man to their defense and could reap the rewards if they get the good Knighton turning up for the right games.

I always wonder if the effect of playing for a bad team creates some of this stuff. Sure, there are high effort guys who will fight hard no matter what the situation. There are also players, I'm sure, who are on a bad team and the thought is always knawing away in the back of their minds, what's the use? Put them on a winner and you might get a different player.

Vickerson is better than Knighton. He was much better than Knighton last year. His contract is even bigger than Knighton's. You are projecting Knighton to be better which could happen. He is younger and reunited with JDR but saying he is better after clearly last year Vickerson was better is projecting what you hope and not really facts.

Te'o strikes me as a Haiwaiian Paul Poszluzny... solid, good tackler, not great in coverage and kinda leaves you thinking maybe you could upgrade...ive heard he is a great leader, so there's that, but Im kinda meh on him...
