I guess all those bad memories I have as an Eagle fan are imaginary. But you go ahead and keep cherry picking positives and discarding any negatives you find.
I'm not sure why it is my job to make your case for you. You went ahead and made the claim that he wasn't good at all during his 4 years as a Eagle (which I proved wrong) and now keep changing your parameters of your argument to include a season he spent on IR and two seasons he had with the Cards.

I never said he was never good. At one time in his life he may have been. Currently and recently...last 4 years... he had not been good. Agreed?

Have you ever seen him play?

Like I said, it's terrifying if the team is counting on Bradley.

Quote:
Watching the game initially, I picked on Rahim Moore a bit in coverage but on a couple of occasions--after watching the plays again, it was terrible recognition in coverage by Stewart Bradley that led to Rahim having to mop up his mistakes.

To totally change the subject and throw this thread off course:

Wasn't John Ham from Mad Men in the Steve Prefontaine movie as like a discus(sp?) or shot put thrower?

John Elway's picks/signing is slowly reminding me of Shanny.
If this continues, we will become irrelevant again after Manning retires.

Man, you made me look that up. It was not Jon Hamm. It was this dude in Prefontaine...

He did kind of sound like him though from what I remember.

That milehighreport article was kinda stupid. It mentions him being a victim in pass coverage in the first game. I watched that game and several occasions where he he excellent coverage but the ball was just placed so well and Boldin has hands like iron. I mean, on one of them, Bradley's body was inches from Bolid's body and again, a super perfect pass. If you're gonna pick on somebody at least call it like it is. To say he was a victim in that 1st game is total BS.

Wow, I never remembered to look it up but during the 1st season of Mad Men I thought, that is the dude from the Pre movie!

IAOFM had a similar opinion:

I said last week that Stewart Bradley would struggle in coverage, but I didn’t necessarily mean it would be with the mental aspects of recognizing coverage. Consider my previous statement amended. He might struggle in both recognition and, well—that whole covering thing.

Hell, Romanowski or even Al Wilson would be an upgrade at this point. Get them on the phone!

I'd get if they wanted to go with the guy who is underwhelming as an athlete but just knows what he's doing out there. The problem is Bardley seems to only have the first part of that equation down.

I just have a very hard time believing Irving or Trevathan wouldn't be better for our defense at Mike.

Urlacher in a wheel chair would be preferable to what we've seen from Bradley in the preseason. Hopefully Von's suspension gets reduced and we roll with Irving at Mike. I'd rather see Irving flying around blowing people up and being a liability in pass coverage than Bradley not making any plays at the point of attack and being a liability in pass coverage.

wait a minute. I was told MLB would not be important this year and whoever we had will be good enough. Am i overreacting with preseason? I haven't seen the game (on NFL Network on Monday) but is this a pretty basic defensive scheme that will be massively different come week one vs Ravens?

No you were not. I remember that, my jaw hitting the floor and being speechless for at least 1/2 hour. If you look at the good defenses, the ones who win SB's they have two things on D, a damn good safety and MLB. The MLB has been called the QB of the D. We need a good one.

Another head scratcher. Why hasn't this position been better addressed the past two offseasons? Why was Irving drafted? Joe Mays and now this?

In light of Miller's suspension and Stewart Bradley's injury, the Broncos may be looking for another linebacker...

Take the stats with a grain of salt. Or, put the time played next to the stats. A player on the field more will likely get more stats. I'm excited about Thomas though. Looks legit so far

We are loaded at TE. Miami just lost their starting TE so I think we need to get a trade in order and get ready to pick up a MLB and/or others to fill in our injured players.
