Default Broncos sign Stewart Bradley

Per Elway...

Agreed to terms on a 1-yr deal with LB Stewart Bradley. Solid addition who adds competition to our linebacker unit.

Nor surprised by this, they want Irving to win the job, and he can play ST if he doesn't win the starting gig

I will literally cry if he ends up starting at MLB. Only good thing is that Joe Mays release should be soon to follow.

This dude isn't much of an upgrade over Brooking, is he?

Glad it's one year... hopefully this is the end of Joe Mays. Wish we made a play for Karlos Dansby though.

You'll literally cry? Jesus Christ, man up there, Sally...Id rather have someone better like Dansby but Bradley is a better player than Mays, & old man Brooking.

There's a serious void of talent evaluation at MLB...

Think he'd cost a lot more and we're currently trying to sign 3 of the top free agents at their position to go along with the expensive OG we just landed.

This signing leads me to believe that they are serious about going with Nate Irving. You figure they aren't going to follow up signing this guy with another veteran. I suppose they could still go in that direction in the draft.

We have never won a SB without a Husker on the roster. Check. At leadt one Husker has been on a SB teams roster for more years in a row then any other college team. Double check.

He will provide depth, provide some competition, and play ST. To me this signals that the Broncos are set on Irving being our MLB.

Can't spend at every position. We may have to face reality of another yr with a medicore MLB. Hopefully they still move to improve the defensive back end. So many good corners out there I hope we sign one of them. i love Winfielf from minny. He would be a stud for us. We could move him into the slot where his physical play would really help our 3rd down defense. He is a stud vs the run also.

We don't know how much it would have cost for Dansby.. It may not have broken the bank. Irving and Johnson could stay as back-ups and special teammers.

Nobody will convince me Bradley is any good.
