Two year deal. Very interesting. I'm trying to understand why all parties involved would want such a short deal.

Somewhere right now, Brady is sobbing while Giselle is slapping him and yelling, "You can act like a man!"

Please disregard my previous posts.. to clarify I did not want Welker @ 10 mil a year... I'm great w/ the 2 yr 12 mil deal.. Elway just stole Welker from the Pats.. now just don't let Fox call the plays

Haha! The wheels are coming off. I don't blame him. How do you let him go for peanuts?

This seems like a Welker upset about how Bill Bellicheck went out of his way to not use him early in season. Told reporters privately (rumor) that paying the franchise tag amount 9 mil for Welker was a joke. I think Welker is sticking it to him with this deal.

Brady can't be happy right now. Welker still makes counting last 21 mil over 3 yrs. Not a bad haul for him. Seems like a discount for us though.

Agreed. But, I think with Peyton, he can turn Welker in to way more of a superstar than he ever was before. Just think of the Marvin Harrison days. Peyton and Welker get on exactly the same page, and that should scare the **** out of every NFL Defensive Coordinator out there!!!

This is awesome. Epic signing.

Kudos to Elway for the steal of free agency.

Watching NFLN with Pioli on was an enlightening experience. He kept harping on "after taxes" about the $2 mil difference in salaries between what Denver offered and what NE offered. Apologizing for Belechik, propping up Tommy. Kind of like watching a domestic abuse victim defend the abuser.

Brady stating he is "disgusted" and "disservice" both terms used in his rant over the Patriots not signing Welker.

i think the market has proven that doom is really overpaid. i hope they figure out a way to keep him, but it's really apparent that contract is really overpriced.
