Nobody here is claiming IB is legit, but doesn't necessarily mean the others are either.

I mentioned his name a few months ago. I like his upside and think he can be had relatively cheap!

I've read on a couple of sites that Miami is the front runner for Wallace right now. He wants a warm climate. Welker may as well get out of NE. Personally I think their run is winding down.

And if we're going after a Ram I'd prefer it be Amendola.

No way are the Broncos going to spend $ on a WR when Thomas and Decker will deserve their raises in a year or so. Pipe dream. Put the pipes down.

The Rams are releasing SS Quinton Mikell.

That's a player I can get on board with signing to play SS!

I agree with regards to guys like Wallace and Welker who are going to be getting average salaries in the $8-10 million range, but I'm curious to see what the market will be for Amendola. He's got Welkeresque ability and is younger, but he also has a troubling injury history that might limit his value (missed all but one game in 2011, missed five games last season). If he's healthy and come at the right price, I could see us making a strong play for him.

Eagles are interested, and they have a boatload of money to spend. I think the chances are almost zero of us landing him.

As is always the case in free agency, every guy we love and want the Broncos to get is also on the radar of several other teams. It's generally going to come down to who's willing to overpay the most, and the Broncos seem to be very sensible with their spending (perhaps with the notable exceptions of the head scratcher contracts given to Mays and Prater).

Normally I'd agree, but you skipped over the part where I questioned whether or not Amendola's injury history might limit his value on the market. I'm not saying multiple teams won't be interested (they certainly will), but I imagine teams will be at least somewhat hesitant to pay an eight figure signing bonus to a guy who missed 15 games in 2011 and five games last season. That might keep his value in an area where we'd be interested.

^ Sorry BI, the 2nd part of my post wasn't really directed at you. More of a general statement. Hope you're right about Amendola but I think they'll be enough teams interested that he'll be quickly priced away from what the Broncos are willing to pay.

I expect the Broncos to very careful in FA again this year. In most cases where you see/hear that a half dozen or so teams are interested in a certain player I think said player ends up going elsewhere. The Broncos will likely be value shoppers.

Bruton re-signs 3 year deal:

@johnelway: Thrilled we've agreed to terms on the re-signing of David Bruton to a 3-yr deal. One of NFL's top special-teamers who adds depth at DB.

If he wanted to screw them in division he'd join the Jets but he's not that stupid. Could very well see him here, please God.

RT @JosinaAnderson: Agent Carl Poston told me Chris Gamble informed him last night that he wants to retire.

Interesting. He's only 29. Thought we might make a play for him with the Fox connection.
