"John Elway is basically just a character on NBA Jam right now. The Broncos just have a pile of great free-agent signings: Wes Welker, Louis Vasquez, Stewart Bradley, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Terrance Knighton. Every deal makes sense, isn't too expensive and a few have hurt their rivals in the process. Killing it right now"

It's Incarcerated Bob-esque. It sounds great, and it sounds like he has inside info, but everyone knew he was in town yesterday and taking a physical is SOP for every team when they bring in a free agent.

The Packers aren't getting it done with Steven Jackson. Time for Elway to call him up and ask him if he'd like to play in a PmfM offense.

Damn....I was hoping Denver might make a run at Steven Jackson.

No biggie....with the free agent signings Denver has made, they can address the RB position in the draft.

i always thought Sjax to Denver was a pipe dream. I prefer drafting a young RB that fits our system over older, short term RB.

Michael Bennett agrees to terms with Seahawks

Defensive end Michael Bennett, who visited the Dolphins on Thursday, has agreed to terms on a one-year, $5 million contract with the Seahawks.

Yes, the Seahawks.

Bennett started his career with the Buccaneers. He was believed to be one of the hottest pass-rushing commodities in free agency.

His deal strikes another blow to a worse-than-expected market for pass rushers. With young guys at the top of class not getting huge money, the veterans have no chance.

This should pretty much end the talk about Abraham and Freeney getting 6 million a year.
