I'd be interested as a player, but as a person...... suspended for not showing up to a game. Wasn't he the one who said "It's amazing how people can HATE a man they have never even heard speak. We've only heard one side..." about Osama Bin Laden?

He could break off 2 ACLs in our system.

He's only 25. He's made some verbal blunders and has had a hard time staying on the field. When he has been on the field...he either looks like a stud or fumbles the ball.
I think at the right price....he could be a nice addition with our coaching staff. I'm all for it. |

So. . . the front office thinks that having three average backs with ACL tears the past few seasons would be a good idea? Jesus Christ. **** that plan. ****in' drunk ass Elway and pot belly Pat Bowlen.

It has something to do with Fox's obsession with mediocre running backs. He is as bad at finding them as Shanny is good.

Been browsing some Steelers boards and Tweets. You could substitute his name for Knowshon and it would read exactly as it has here!

Mendenhall is better than Moreno when he's healthy. Unfortunately, he can't stay healthy. Overall this does not seem like the way to fix our running back situation.

I would rather have Mendenhall than Green...
But I would much rather purge the team of mediocracy at the RB position. Bye bye McGahee and Moreno if it were my decision.. Get S Jax in free agency and add a big back (Bell) in the draft. |

Not surprising here. It's hard to find a bellcow in today's NFL and the guy could still be one. He has a Stephen Davis type build to him which I think that John Fox likes. Probably blocks ok. Not much factor catching the ball which sucks. The last two years have been terrible for him but before that he has 1100/1200 yds rushing. He's still only 25 yrs old as well. If we can get him chained up to a decent 3 yr contract, i would be ok with it. Can't be worse than what we have at the position now.

Pass....I'd much rather sign Steven Jackson....not a big fan of Rashard Mendenhall.

I think Elway wants a fresh stable. He'll take a chance on a guy like Mendenhal or Greene...then, draft a kid in the 3rd or 4th round to compete, with Hillman as his change of pace guy...and maybe keep Moreno on the cheap.
IMO...the best they could do at RB is to trade for Deangelo Williams or draft Lacy. But, you have to decide whether you want to spend your #1 or trade a way a #2 to fix your RB position. You have a lot of other holes to fill beside just RB. So, signing a Mendenhal or Greene and drafting a stud in the 3rd/4th sounds like a pretty decent plan to me. |

I don't think Jackson is a consideration. Why? because he's older and won't come cheap. Sure, if they can get him for $2m/yr....but, I think he'll get more in the market.

I loved Mendenhal coming out of college, and I believe the Broncos had a chance to draft him. He was pretty productive for the Steelers when he was healthy. But that is the question, how is that ACL. He is more of a home run threat than anyone the Broncos currently have.
I still want Stepfan Taylor out of Stanford, but he will be long gone when the Broncos draft in the second round. I believe you don't draft running backs in the 1st round, always go defense. Last edited by BroncoBen; 03-10-2013 at 04:20 PM.. |
