NFL.com reports the Broncos are interested in free agent OG Andy Levitre, in addition to the Titans and Colts.

Levitre is probably going to get paid $7-8 million a year range, so I have a hard time seeing it happen. Of most interest to me is that they are looking at starting guards. That would seem to signal that Kupe is out.

If Levitre is signed you can bet your ass Kuper gets released.

I doubt it, due to the stagnant salary cap, salaries will be lot lower than expected for many free agents.

What i get from that is that we're worried about Kuper and that plate in his foot causing another aggravation of his injury. Can understand at least but it'd suck to let Kuper go.

In general I agree, but there are teams with a ton of cap space even with the cap stagnated, and the Colts happen to be one of those teams. Levitre will get a big contract. Maybe not as big as in some years, but still likely out of our range.

That is a lot for a guard. Would probably put him in the top 5 range for guards, not sure if he is worth that.

This would be a stupid idea. I would rather sign a RT or draft a RT and move Franklin over 1 spot.

The Colts are already in a bidding war for Paul Kruger, it is not their MO to overpay for free agents, especially since they are one of the smallest revenue teams in the league.

Keep in mind that Kuper's has a dead money hit of $2.7M in 2013 if the Broncos cut him. That's why I think it's best to replace him with a high-draft pick, and not an expensive FA.

New guys are getting it right since Omnipotent Polian got exposed without Manning. They will spend money in FA, just not overpay. I believe they will get some real nice pieces to protect Luck. I would not be surprised if Eric Winston gets signed for OT as well and they move Castonzo to RT. |

I'd rather see them go after Louis Vasquez. He's one year younger and might not see quite as powerful a market as Levitre, plus getting him directly hurts SD. They're both very solid guards though, both hitting FA makes this the ideal time to pursue a young long term OG solution if the bidding stays in check.

i understand the move for a OG, you want to make sure Manning is protected. but man, i'm more concerned with C than OG. |

Nice signing by the Titans....if anyone recognizes good OG play it's Mike Munchak.
