Best Broncos free agents (off the top of my head)-

Manning is number one...he'll solidify the QB position for at least 3 more seasons (barring injury or SB title retirement scenario).....and hopefully will help us win another title.

The rest probably had much less impact as they helped the Broncos in their roles but didn't dominate....

Bernard Jackson solidified our secondary in the late 70's and helped us to our first playoff appearance, division title and SB appearance

Howard Griffith paved the way for TD's phenomenal seasons of 1997-1998

Darrien Gordon gave us bang for the buck as a PR, and nickle CB including two INT's in SB XXXIII

Bill Romanowski and Alfred Williams, Neil Smith and Tyrone Braxton* gave our underachieving defense some much needed veteran leadership and attitude

Bubby Brister gave us a playmaker at back-up QB...who went 4-0 in Elway's stead during '98 season, tossing 10 TD's vs. 3 INT's and who could ever forget his 38 yard TD run vs. Chiefs on MNF on the road?

McGahee gave us a respectable running game after being signed as a free agent....producing our first 1000+ yard season by a RB since 2006

Brandon Stokely gave us a legitimate slot receiving threat.....

Jacob Tamme and Joel Dreesen gave us our best TE tandem since our SB years.....

* Braxton signed with Miami for '94 season, and then came back to Denver in '95
