So far kFc has decided to keep the guys that won them all of 2 games last year.

Bowe signing did not make them better, just treading water. I think Smith will up his stats, he will still drop more balls than he should but getting the ball closer to the LOS should allow him to get more YAC. I don't think he will ever touch his career year TD total of 15 set in 2010 when Cassel was throwing him the ball but we will see.

They still need to find 2 more WR's to take the double coverage off him.

As it is now they have Bowe, Baldwin who has been a bust and showed nothing yet, Moiekie(sp?) and the small fast guy who is too small to play every down.

With guys like Welker and Wallace on the market they threw a **** load of money at Bowe. I guess they thought that Smith couldn't get the ball down field to Wallace to make him worth paying and with the small dude playing in the slot on passing downs they don't need Welker, though he would be a great add. They need a possession guy who can be counted on to make some catches (unlike Bowe) and take some of the double teams off Bowe.

your glad your 2-14 team is keeping it's 2-14 players rather than cut ties with Bowe in a FA year where you can get Wallace, Welker, Amendola, Bowe all in the same FA class?

I know FA doesn't start in earnest until next week but why not wait until then and see what they can land in the FA market to totally upgrade your crappy/droppy WR's who gator arm balls for fear of getting hurt.

Still KC could not lose him. Charles and Bowe the only two playmakers on offense. If you have them Ried figures he is a TE and a solid oline away from being able to make Alex Smith servicable. KC will be better then you all think next yr Ried the best coach they ave had in quite some time.

They have about the same amount of talent as Denver except we have Manning.

Alex Smith is their QB. It really doesn't matter what else they do. Sign Bowe, and whoever else you want.

They desperately need to draft a franchise QB already.

I agree, the Chiefs did what they had to do and if they can release him in year three with minimal cap consequence then they made out real well. He is worth $10 million right now at age 29 but age 33 could be a different story, but this was a good signing for them.

Mike Wallace has blazing speed that can char a secondary.

Nobody in the NFL caught more passes of 40-plus yards between 2007 and 2011 than Greg Jennings.

They are the two most attractive wide receivers in the upcoming class of unrestricted free agents.

But based upon the history of the position, it may prove a costly mistake to ink either to the big-money contracts both are expected to garner once the signing period begins March 12.

Which player is better to sign?

This is an interesting debate. Wallace is a bigger gamble because the cost will be so great. He is expected to garner a contract equal to or greater than the contract extension Dwayne Bowe signed March 4 with Kansas City.

Rather than risk getting slapped with the franchise tag for a second consecutive season, Bowe inked a reported five-year, $56 million deal with $26 million guaranteed.

At 26, Wallace is three years younger than Jennings and has more upside. The combination of four factors – a new offensive system that emphasized quicker passes, a preseason contract holdout, too many dropped passes and the three-game absence of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger because of a rib injury – contributed to a significant decline in Wallace’s receiving yards in 2012.
A change of scenery could help Wallace rebound in a big way, especially if given more opportunities downfield like during his first three seasons in Pittsburgh.

“I believe he’s going to play well for somebody,” long-time NFL executive and SiriusXM NFL Radio analyst Bill Polian said of Wallace. “I’ve seen enough in him to tell me this guy is a pretty talented play-maker.

“If you want to get on Mike Wallace for dropping balls, Dwayne Bowe is the president of that club. If you’re going to say, ‘Dwayne Bowe is a great receiver,’ well, he drops the ball more than every now and then. So does Mike Wallace. Is it a fatal flaw? Probably not.”

Which means that in 2010, Matt Cassel threw 12 touchdowns to every other person on their offense. Bowe accounts for over half of the teams receiving touchdowns that year.

Meanwhile, six other players (including Decker's 13) account for 27 more touchdowns for the Broncos in the passing game. Unlike the Chiefs, the Broncos don't have dog**** options in their receiving sets.

Good attempt at hyperbole.
