I live just south west of KC, and it is bananas out here

Cars stuck in the roads everywhere, snow flurries, 6+ inches of snow already

Supposed to get 10-15 inches by later this evening

Stay safe. Glad that storm didn't hit us. I don't mind the winter, but February has a penchant for being the crappiest month of the year.

Pansies, drove through that **** and am putting in a full days work (work in KC) b****es act like they haven't seen white stuff in their life...then again, this area prefers meth to coke so that may make sense.

snowed in downtown phoenix yesterday, "snow" aka /slush/hail/sleet but it's still on ground this morning.

Living in the Mountains where we routinely get 6+ inches of snow I have never understood how places get paralyzed by a whole whopping 6 inches of snow. Missing work (other than by calling in sick to ski) is never acceptable simply because it snowed even for those who have to commute 60+ miles to work here.

Yesterday where I live we had about an inch of snow and it never got below 32 degrees so it didn't stick to the roads. They closed the schools early and cancelled school for today. Two of the girls that work at by business called in because they didn’t think they could make it in on the bad roads.

Back in high school, we played at least one game every year in the snow and it was always against the same team, no joke. It was uncanny. It was fun for me because I was the pitcher and I was always warm.....but it was pretty miserable for some of the fielders who didn't see much action and were just standing around.

The mountains are a bit different than a well populated area. We get 6 inches in DC and things have to shut down in order for road crews to actually do their job and get the roads cleared. People are encouraged to stay home and lessen the strain on the roads and stop all the accidents that would naturally occur.

Sadly we got not a damn bit of worthwhile moisture in CO.

What's the snowpack at in the Eastern CO Rockies watersheds? 60% of average?

Going to be another fun, fun fire season.

Also, inches of snow and your cities are paralyzed? Damn pansies.

I always figured it had to do with municipalities who were underequipped to do enough removal before heavy traffic makes it all a mess.

Snow's much easier to deal with before 10,000 people drive through it.
