I feel like the Dodgers odds of winning the game goes down to zero when the starting pitcher leaves the game.

I'm a Reds fan and those damn Pirates are pesky. I see them finally breaking .500 for the first time in 50 years. Their a good team.

Good for the Pirates....I'd like to see them finally keep it up in the second half of the season and at least content for a spot in the playoffs.

I've been to a game in PNC Park....it would be a beautiful venue for some playoff games.

A long, but excellent article on Miguel Cabrera:

I can't believe the Tigers fleeced the Marlins like they did.
Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis for Maybin and Miller. Maybin has finally turned into at least a decent big league player, but not for the Marlins.
Willis flopped out, but still, that was just an incredible trade.
With Pujols finally slowing down, Cabrera's taken over the mantle of best hitter in the game from him.

And I am saying that this weekend will not help their cause. Angels on a high from last night's (twice) 7 run deficit vs Felix the Cat and the Mariners. Bourgos batting .345 (needs more at bats since he wasn't playing with a Hammy issue), Kendrick batting .330 and Trout bumping his average to .317 after going 4 for 4 last night. Now if only Hamilton could have joined the fun as he went 0 for 4 with a double play and strikeout. He is close to dipping below .200 . If this doesn't get him to drink, nothing will or he is already drinking and why he is sucking eggs.

Things are so bad in LA, pirates fans are trolling the Dodgers board.

DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers have designated reliever Jose Valverde for assignment, less than two months after bringing the veteran right-hander back to the major leagues for another chance to be the team's closer.

Valverde went 0-1 with a 5.59 ERA, converting nine saves in 12 chances. The Tigers will likely use Joaquin Benoit in most save situations for the time being.

The Red Sox smacked the Tigers 10-6 tonight.

Miggy went 4-4 with a HR and 3 RBIs.

Dude is batting .368 with 20 HRs and 74 RBIs in 72 games.

Doug Fister got fisted tonight....no lube.

Tyler Lyons with his fourth consecutive poor start, and the Cardinals lose to Texas, 6-4. Time to replace lyons, now.

Blue Jays have won 10 games in a row. Jose Reyes is on the verge of coming back, and they're finally starting to get some decent starting pitching to go along with their great bats.

And yes as a Jays fan, finally reaching over .500 is something.

Red Sox are a surprise, and to an extent the Yankees as well, although it seems the Yankees lack of an offense is finally starting to catch up to them.

Red Sox offense is carrying them with a strong bullpen and Bucholz pitching great and Lackey pitching well. Rest of the starting pitching has been average-ish.

Matt Kemp is back in season form in his first AAA rehab start. 0-4, 3K's and 5 men left on base. I wish this guy would get back to 2011 form.

They can have Ethier for something.

For what, a keg of beer?

I still remember back when the Dodgers signed Ethier to that moderate contract and thinking how its going to backfire on them.
An alright player, but not someone you throw money at like they did.

what a ****ing bad post! Up 3 runs in the top of the 9th, we are on the verge of losing and taking at least 1 game in this series. JB Shuck ****s up on two plays to have Pirates tie it up. 4 runs now in the 10th inning. Nice pitching and fielding Shuck who helped give up some more runs while mishandling a single. UGH!

How about for ARoids? LA pays the rest of Ethier's contract and Yanks pay for ARoids.

Poor Cardinals got swept in Texas, including losses by Miller and Wainwright. Starting pitching is getting too stretched out.

Fife puts in a good start, and League just ****s all over it.

Just another Coletti shet signing. (Right up there with Juan Pierre)
