Default study: a woman’s fart smells worse than a man’s

Let ‘Em Rip: Study Finds Passengers Passing Gas Mid-Flight Healthy

CHARLOTTE (CBS Charlotte) — Hopefully the TSA will now allow passengers to bring gas masks on board flights.

A new study finds that breaking wind while one is flying is healthy and recommended.

AFP reports that Danish gastroenterologist Jacob Rosenberg got the idea for the study after dealing with flatulence from several passengers during a flight from Copenhagen to Tokyo.

“(Holding back) holds significant drawbacks for the individual, such as discomfort and even pain, bloating, dyspepsia (indigestion), pyrosis (heartburn) just to name but a few resulting abdominal symptoms,” the study stated.

Despite giving the all-clear for passengers to “just let it go,” researchers warned that pilots shouldn’t let one rip while in the cockpit.

“On the one hand, if the pilot restrains a fart, all the drawbacks previously mentioned, including impaired concentration, may affect his abilities to control the plane,” researchers said in the study, according to AFP. “On the other hand, if he lets go of the fart, his co-pilot may be affected by its odor, which again reduces safety onboard the flight.”

The study suggests that to deal with the smell of a passenger passing gas mid-flight, airlines should use charcoal to deal with the air up there.

“We humbly propose that active charcoal should be embedded in the seat cushion, since this material is able to neutralize the odor,” researchers stated.

The study also found that the average person passes gas up to 10 times a day and that a woman’s fart smells worse than a man’s.

The study was published in the New Zealand Medical Journal last Friday.

Some friends and I were talking the other day about starting a company where you bottle and sell hot women's farts.

It's not very scaleable but would definitely work in Japan.

I just put a blanket over my lap when I am farting on a plane. Women hold it in and then the one that comes out is the nuclear fart bomb from hell.

I like to crop dust a Wal-Mart, lay a good one while walking down the aisle and stand back and watch people walk through it. It’s really good when the wife thinks it's her husband and gives him a smack.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- John Fox has some bad news for the other 31 NFL teams: Peyton Manning could be even better in 2013.
The Denver coach says Thursday at the league's annual scouting combine that with another offseason to heal and to fine-tune his comfort with Denver's offense, the four-time MVP and reigning Comeback Player of the Year could have a more impressive second season in the Mile High City.
Fox says a year ago the Broncos were doing homework on Manning. They saw a dramatic improvement in Manning's workouts last offseason at Duke, and then with the quarterback's passing in the second half of the 2012 season. Manning led Denver to the AFC's best record, 13-3.

I crop dusted the entire section at Kansas City in 2005. It was one of those epic, once-in-a-lifetime bouts of turrible gas. Large volume / high potency types that you know is going to stink before you even smell it. And I let the Chief fans have it for just about the entire second half before it went away.

"Hey man, WHO F%#KING FARTED?!?!?!"

Do you realize that when you smell a fart, air is now in your lungs that used to be up someone else's butt?

Chiefs fans aren't used to being farted on in the 2nd half. They are usually heading to their Camaros before watching the bitter end.
