Obama got his tax raise but he won't cut without even more tax increases. This is all on Obama now because he isn;t playing straight. did obama get taxes raised = yes did obama get debt limit raised = yes has obama agreed to any cuts= no He's saying same thing he has always said not without new revenue. Which is BS because he hasn't come through on any reductions to spending yet. Even liberals should be fed up with this BS by now. |

The prices have fluctuated wildly despite policies and whose in power. Within less than a month I've paid less than 3 bucks for gas and today I paid $3.79. To blame it on the President is idiotic. His energy policies are, in fact, wildly stupid based on infrastructure and impact, but to say that directly causes gas prices is also inaccurate. |

But it has little to do with gas prices. |

No one policy has a huge impact. But when you add up all of Obamas anti energy policies you can see how that has an impact on energy prices. Not just gas but electricity is also through the roof.

The Keystone pipeline would be a major in step in stabilizing the price of gas in the U.S., we would eliminate the yoyo effect caused by the political unrest in the Middle East.
It seems like the environmentalist that have a problem with pipeline would see the advantage of not sending 10 to 15 empty super tankers to the Middle East on a daily basis. |

There was a tar sands spill in 2010 in Kalamazoo, MI on the Kalamazoo River. They still haven't been able to clean it up. No thanks, I don't want that **** in my country. |

oh throw in his war on coal and the power plants that have been shut down, which means billions of cubic feet of natural gas have been diverted to run, would also have zero effect on our cost of living? I doubt you can say with a straight face that any or all of these measures that the dumocrats have put into place over the past couple of decades really have done nothing but raise prices.. MO it is supply and demand, if there is more locally produced product we do not have to but it elsewhere, there is lower transportation costs and more jobs in the USA, all of which would HELP to keep the costs down.. |

And according to Wikipedia, there have been 31 oil spills in the past 20 years, including the spill in the Kalamazoo River, which was tar sands oil (just like the Keystone Pipeline is supposed to carry), which, when spilled, sinks to the bottom, and cannot be cleaned up by conventional means. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_oil_spills http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talmadge_Creek_oil_spill |
