Yep. He's shown no real ability to stuff running lanes. Two gapping against NFL level OLs sounds like a great way for him to disappear and never be heard from again. He needs a 4-3 front that wants him to just attack all day long.

Thanks! Yeah I was thinking about going with a smaller DT, but even then I would have taken Short over Richardson. I just don't see Richardson being able to handle anything in the middle at the NFL level, and will have to be a 3-4 DE. Hankins on the other hand like you said, has the ability to take 2 guys as he needs to be double teamed. And when you have Demarcus Ware on the outside that makes things interesting. I just saw it as a solid fit for Dallas, and an opportunity for them to clear some cap space by waving Jay Ratliff.

The bears have put so much into the defense, I looked really hard at safety and LB but with all the OL talent off the board, took the most explosive player in the draft.
