Unless Austin has committed a crime or gotten arrested, I can assure you he will not be a Bengal. Keep in mind, each Bengal player drafted is given a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card upon their arrival to the complex. However, they still face the Ginger Hammer Wrath!

I was eyeing Hankins as well at my pick, but decided if I was making the safe/bpa pick it had to be Trufant because the gap between Trufant and anything I'd get in round 3 is bigger than the gap between Hankins and what I could get for a round 3 or 4 NT.
Hankins is unique in that he was a multi-role 3 down player for OSU at his size. Most guys that far over 3 bills are two down types who lack stamina and motor. Hankins bucks that trend and that makes him very interesting. I could have seen you taking Richardson since Dallas is supposed to be mixing in more 4-3 stuff, but if they want to flip back and forth Richardson loses his appeal rather quickly, while Hankins is a nice fit either way. Yep. He's shown no real ability to stuff running lanes. Two gapping against NFL level OLs sounds like a great way for him to disappear and never be heard from again. He needs a 4-3 front that wants him to just attack all day long. |

SoDak Bronco is online and roaming the threads. Rumors are he will be selecting very, very shortly. . .
The Bengals draft room is a frenzy. . . they are scared that the Bears are going to take highly touted running back Alvin Jupiter from their grasps. |

Dodged a bullet. Phew. Good pick for Chicago. Marshall, Jeffrey and Austin is lethal!

#21 is still up for grabs. I am willing to make a small or big move down. I will be nice and make you not pay a lot to do it. If no offers come in by 1:00 PM (CST) -- I will be selecting shortly after. Got a conference call that I have to go to right now. See you all soon. MAKE OFFERS OR IM DRAFTING YORU GUYS!!

The bears have put so much into the defense, I looked really hard at safety and LB but with all the OL talent off the board, took the most explosive player in the draft.

That sure would be the smart marketing pick for Da Bears. Might soothe a few disgruntled fans too.

All right, guess I'm not doing a C/C today. Pick will be up shortly. People are going to laugh because it is typical Bengals, but I hope people read the write-up before they piss on the selection.

I can't think of more of a "Bengals-type" player in this draft than Ogletree.
