With all the talk of trading down with our pick of the first round, I thought it would be interesting to see who we all think is worth the 28th pick and if they aren't available, then you would want us actively to look to trade down so we get good value for our pick.
Let's start with the following 15 players definately being picked before 28... Luke Joeckel Geno Smith Sharrif Floyd Dee Milliner Chance Warmack Star Lotulelei Dion Jordan Ziggy Ansah Lane Johnson Jarvis Jones Sheldon Richardson Erik Fisher Jonathan Cooper Barkevious Mingo Tavon Austin Then for me, (in order of preference) if Xavier Rhodes Marcus Trufant Damontre Moore Datone Jones Kenny Vaccaro Bjoern Warner aren't available, then I want us to trade down. Who you got?? |

Nope. That's about it! If they're all gone, trade down I say!
With that being said, I'll go on record right now to say that I think we'll be picking at 28 or sooner!! Good thread idea btw ![]() |

For the most part, I agree with your first 15 players (although Geno Smith could be a surprise slider) -- so, beyond those 15, here's who I would draft at #28 (in order of preference):
Sylvester Williams Kawann Short Desmond Trufant Datone Jones Tyler Eifert Tank Carradine Eric Reid Margus Hunt Bjoernn Werner Once Werner was off the board, I would definitely try to pull back about 10 to 15 picks. |

i see no reason to trade down. the value at #28 will be great either way. now if a team badly wants a QB and they'll give us a 2nd and a 3rd or 4th then maybe you do it.

Indy at #24 looks like the hot spot for teams wanting to trade up according to NFLN

I just played the firstpick draft game 12 times. These were the only guys that never fell to 28. Here's their range.
Chance Warmack and Star only fell that far once. Sheldon Richardson rarely fell. |
