![]() Here's lookin at you, Kid A I haven't made one of these threads in a while and I'll spare everyone from my recent deep house obsession but I have moved towards a lot of dancier stuff in the last year initially for the gym then I went to Berlin then I started to realise that this scene in NY is where all the hot chicks that like to get ****ed up are. I'll make a separate thread for non-dance tunes (zero weird 80s revenge angle) if someone doesn't do it before me. disclaimer - DUBSTEP, DEADMAUS AND SKRILLEX NEED TO BE LOCKED UP |

I dont mind dance music when I'm out and about. As in, out dancing*...
Hot college girls like dance music, therefore so did I - in college. "Out dancing" also reminded me of this clip: |

My boys listen to skrillex, etc. They even went to EDC last summer in Vegas. I'll tolerate that stuff in the club, but I can't just listen to this stuff in my car or on my headphones like they do. They can't get enough.

There are no rules except no dubstep! Up to you guys. I liked that song when that album came out years back. They've got a new one coming out in March I think. They could've been famous but they just don't care.
I like that Req. Any Todd Terje fans? What about Justin Martin? I saw him play a few weeks back |

The only thing I like about EDM is that keyboard Manufacturers are making and selling more analog gear. Korg reissued the MS-20 in response to the use of Analog in these types of productions.
I am already tired of the Super Saw type stabs used in every uptempo tune these days. |

I'm digging more downtempo/ambient/proghouse stuff a la Sasha & Digweed's classic Northern Exposure 1. If you guys have some suggestions similar to that I'd like to hear em.
Sasha has some really good releases Airdrawndagger is a fav and Invol2ver some of the older and various producers' Global Underground releases too And yeah, dubstep is pretty much teh suck. Last edited by BroncosfanGuy; 02-14-2013 at 06:39 PM.. |

It works in clubs for people to take drugs and dance all night long.

I listen mostly to trance and house. I'm not cool by electronica standards. It's like the Kool 105 oldies of techno.

You would be better off listening to Kraftwerk.
You guys should check out Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygene great synth album, Equinox is not a good but still a great synth album. I like Synergy, Larry Fast (of Peter Gabriel Fame) band. Games is very good. Vangelis is awesome, Blade Runner, Antartica, Chariots of Fire, Doesn't get any better than Vangelis. I read a story that said Carl Sagan heard Antartica and had to have Vangelis do the sound track to Cosmos. Wendy Carlos's Switched on Bach should be in every household. She did Clockwork Orange also. To me this is real Electronic Music |

Shockingly, no. I dont. Even when I was younger I tended to avoid clubs because of the music. I figured if I was going to wake up the next day with a headache and missing items of clothing and covered in one of three mystery fluids; that I would prefer not to have a jarring beat stuck in my head on top of that.
