Glen Campbell -- legendary country music singer best known for his 1975 hit, "Rhinestone Cowboy" -- has died after a long battle with Alzheimer's ... TMZ has learned.
Campbell died Tuesday around 10 AM in a Nashville facility for Alzheimer's patients ... according to a source close to his family.
The musician released more than 70 albums over a 50-year career, and had a series of hits in the '60s and '70s including "Gentle on My Mind," "Wichita Lineman," "Galveston," "Country Boy" and his best-selling single, "Rhinestone Cowboy."

Rest In Peace, Glen. Thank you for all the amazing music.

RIP, I'll always remember my one encounter with him. I was an outside service guy at a golf course when I was younger. I took a guys bag and put it on the drivers seat and this guy says in a country accent, "Son, can you put that on the passenger side, the state says I can't drive unless I have a Breathalyzer on the ride!" I said sure and when I looked down at the name tag when switching the bags, it was Glen Campbell.

Loved his choice of songs. Dude was a legend as a session player as well playing as part of The Wrecking Crew who recorded sessions for the Beach boys before landing his own gig.

Great guitarist. Loved the documentary that was out a year or 2 ago.

YEP !

one of the most infamous pictures from the days of camera radar, was glen passing a joint to ALICE COOPER as they drove along Lincoln drive in Paradise valley AZ.
Glenn was as nice as they come, always gracious, served him several times because he was GOOD buddies with Bob Sikora, the owner of the restauraunts where I worked in the 70's and 80's
(bobby McGees)

Wichita Lineman , my favorite.
By the time he gets to heaven, I will still be here in phoenix.
farewell.
