Default Sell future cap for Houston now?...

For the sake of argument, if the Broncos could cut cap and (clearly miss resigning some offensive firepower) would you use it sign to sign Houston?

Would you take a deep step back on offensive talent to sign a pass rusher like Houston on D?

No. Never sign an edge rusher coming off a career year.

Yes! Also, we should run a 0-11-0 defense and go with all pass rushing hybrid players.

Ridiculous isn't it Rausch?

Typically half the 1st page in most "conversational" threads are hijacked by roughly the same 6 or 7 stating how worthless and idiotic the OP's question is.

Makes it tough to get conversations going with these clowns constantly trolling.

There needs to be moderation on this board.

I wouldn't for 2 reasons:

While certainly talented, Bob Sutton puts him in a position to succeed and there are a number of good DEs on the market.

If we look at Bronco team priorities, where does edge rushing really lie? We actually have two All-Pro caliber edge rushers, and some other competent edge players that can definitely bring the heat. Also, we are about to lose our anchor in the middle, and even though he might not fit Wade's mold, he needs to be adequately replaced. Combine that with the fact that Houston seems to be a "one trick pony," which doesn't really fit Elway's mold.

If anything, why not "sell the farm" on another player already on someone's roster (and under contract). I mean if you were willing to give up so much, why not get the pieces we really need? We need a dominant, penetrating D-Tackle in order to let Miller and Ware run free on the edges.

I'd also make the case for "selling the farm" for a dominant free safety instead. In the long run, a free safety plays more snaps (then a pass rushing DE) and has been a major achilles heel of our team for years.

Well, instead of b****ing about modding like a 2nd grader crying for his mommy...

People should make better threads. How's that for an idea?

Instead of going all out for an edge rusher, we would be wiser to get Suh. Greater need.

I understand that this is hypothetical, and neither will happen.

I'd prefer to sell our souls for Suh or a wild trade for Luke Kuechly.

We already have Von Miller why would we want Houston?

Broncos need a DT 1st, then a DE rush end to complement Von and spell Ware. We are not desperate for pass rushers, just need a DC who doesn't drop our best rushers into coverage which we should have now.

I'd take Houston over Von in a heartbeat. He isn't one slip up away from a year long suspension.

I still think Houston is just a speed rusher who can be taken out of a game easier than Von.

I see your point but you can look at it as a point of leverage to limit Von's payday and guaranteed money.

There are a number of tools like you who still view Von as merely a speed rusher and will thus compare Houston to Von.
