Default OT - FARGO the series on FX

Ok so I know the first season has been out for awhile, but I just binge watched it to get caught up for the 2nd season.

All I have to say is.... wow. What a great show/mini-series.
I am completely impressed! You can tell the Coen bros. influence is all over the production.

Billy Bob Thornton just kills it. So, so good. Every episode!

Anyway, if any of you are looking for something to watch, I highly recommend this one!

Yep. Watched all of season 1 and saw the season 2 premiere last week.

Ep 2 is recorded for viewing tomorrow evening.

Note to anyone wanting to try it, it's recommended because of Billy Bob,
But you don't really need to watch the first season for season 2. Different stories.

even the minor characters are enthralling, the deaf hit man couple, the squabbling dim wit brothers, their wonderfully cliché mom, both of lesters wives, and better call SAUL as a squeamish police chief!
amazing cast, incredible, yet TRUE story, colloquial speech that we learned to adore from the movie, fabulous dark comedy, the Coen brothers went digging for gold and found diamonds instead !

Re-quoting this for emphasis. You absolutely do not need to watch the first season of Fargo in order to watch and enjoy the current season. It's an anthology series. Completely different story and characters.

I'll have to check this out. The Strain and The bastard executioner are also pretty good.

however, you will be missing out on some awesome entertainment if you don't watch. You can watch in any order and...
if you haven't seen the movie, that too is a must !

I watched it back when the 1st season started. Just awesome.

Now the 2nd season pre dates the 1st and you get to know where some characters from the 1st season come from. Everything from the story to the camera angles just top notch.

To emphasize, the ties between the movie and the first season are minimal at best. I actually am just eh about the movie but I was down right giddy over the first season.

Hulu has exclusive streaming rights to Fargo so that's the only place you can find it.

Trust me, I'm kind of an expert in this. Hulu, maybe amazon. Doubt you'll see much on netflix from here on in

FXNOW app. Can't watch the first season on FXNOW. But you can watch the first two eps of this season on it.

Burn Notice reference FTW. My girlfriend and I knew that that actor looked familiar but it took us playing back the DVR 3 times before we figured out who it was. And it's not just him. Sam Axe will be playing Reagan.

Fargo is awesome. This year is even better. The diner scene was epic.

I like the Strain also, less body counts and more character development. Plus the cinematography is well done.
