Default What's For Dinner?

Tonight, we're doing nine ounce tenderloins medium rare on the grill, then seared in very hot skillet with butter for about 40 seconds per side. Broccoli with a little cheese sauce, and a salad with balsamic vinegarette dressing. No iceberg

For me? Hamburger patties in brown gravy with onions. Laid on a bed of white rice.
I had originally planned to roast a chicken but I did not feel like prepping it. I normally marinate it in chardonnay and spices overnight and then season it one last time before placing it in the oven.
I just said **** it because I felt lazy.

100 degrees here so a great day to throw a mix of Teriyaki and Memphis BBQ sauce chicken on the grill and watch over it with a Sierra Nevada. Watermelon on the side.

Nice way to finish off a Sunday!

It's my mom's birthday today, so she requested NY strip steak, baked potatoes and fruit salad. Simple, awesome sunday dinner.

Honestly?

I basically eat throughout the day and never a lot in one meal. But since you saked, here's what I've had today:

- 64oz. of water...
- Lenny & Larry complete protein cookie (lemon poppyseed)
- 4oz. scrambled tofu
- 8. oz orange juice
- 8. oz low sodium V8
- 20g vegan pea protein in almond milk fortified with BCAAs, Creatine and B12...
- one small bag of David low sodium sunflower seeds
- a large basket of raw broccoli, cauliflower and rasberries....
- a spring mix of romaine, spinich, tomato, carrot chia and kale with a spritz of lemon juice and flaxseed oil
- a small container of coconut-milk yoghurt with banana slices

Right now.... munching on cucumbers w/hummus and a glass of cabernet.

Yesterday I made an AMAZING quinoa salad with kale, raisins and a little bit of flax oil and balsamic vinegar to go with some whole grain penne and homade sodium-free marinara.

I've been cooking a lot lately.

Spicy asian chicken skewers
rice noodles with broccolini
asian-inspired crispy Brussels sprouts

Girls made an apple/almond pie and a fresh berry pie. Outstanding summer meal.

Good for you. Last thing in the world I want to do when it's 100 degrees outside is stand over a grill.

Damn. Outside of the water and OJ, I can say with a great deal of certainty that nobody in the Bean household would touch 90% of that list. That includes the dogs. The goats might go for the greens.

Can't you type out a simple answer like everyone else?

Must you try so damned hard to come across as a troubled, love starved, intelligent hipster?

Are you dying of AIDS or something?

You can eat all of that **** you want, I'll eat a somewhat balanced diet and enjoy what I eat....I don't mind shaving the last few nursing home years off the back end of my life.

BTW....you forgot to mention that you're in grad school in the last post....maybe if you ate a meal with some substance you'd have the energy to graduate and join the professional work force lol.

Sorry I had to put you on blast, but your answers are always the most ornate 'look at me' answers that I've ever seen.

This sounds like a love letter to me, you might get laid yet Smurf if you play your cards right and don't mind being a switch hitter. You could do much worst than Junkie, he's an awesome man.
