Your experience is different from mine then. Must be different in Europe. My dad does not like talking about WWII in any way, shape, or form. Kinda like the German tour guide in that episode of family guy without the "Heil Hitler."

And as a guy who served in the military... I know plenty of people who have seen **** they can't unsee... and they don't want to think about it.

I'm talking more about my generation (I'm 28) in Germany.

Do you eschew the term blitz too?

Gotcha. Glad to hear its different with the younger generation.

Back on topic, I wonder how Silva feels about that stupid card he took now. Not sure he would've made a difference though.

Apples and oranjes, Darin (like that?). Blitz (short for blitzkrieg) is a term referring to an action that has been used throughout history. Waffin SS is a specific organization responsible for some of the greatest atrocities committed against mankind in modern history. Big difference, my semantic friend.

I'm a bit conflicted on how to feel for Brazil right now. Those people don't have much good in their lives and football means a lot to them, but they're the Patriots/Yankees fans of the soccer world. Entitled as hell.

That would've been intense. Especially in Brazil. GER/NED is almost as good though if the Dutch can beat ARG. Pretty intense rivalry.

We may still see BRA/ARG for third.

Yep. That game was like if Brazil had come back to beat Germany 8-7.

Hey KCDud, that quote above is an actual funny way to reference Super Bowl 48 or the Brazil -Germany game. yours fell flat for both obviousness and lack of creativity. But since you went there, where does this place KC in the stance of World Cup? Um, never got there? still trying to find out what a soccer ball is after all the meth? Stuck in the camaro on blocks in the front yard?

KC is probably like the US actually. Blew an important lead in epic fashion, gets outclassed by better teams...happy to be there
