I honestly don't know if I'e ever been more excited for a sporting event.

I know people will flane me on a Bronco's site but the WC means so much. It is not only the miggest but most meaningful tournament in the world.

Agree, I'm so nervous. Waited 4 years and it could be over after one game if we lose to Ghana. Such an unfortunate draw.

Still get chills when I watch this. Don't care what anyone says. From a purely out of the blue BAM moment in sports this is at the top for me. The building frustration of getting screwed against Slovenia and then in the first half against Algeria, then being a couple minutes from being eliminated. Unbelievable

That will always be one of the best moments of my life. Not only was it huge but I was with one of my best friends who recently passed. I can remember it as clear as day. He wasn't a huge soccer fan but we all went nuts when we scored that goal.

Would trade years of Broncos futility in exchange for the US winning the Cup. No hesitation at all.

I love the Broncos and football is my favorite sport BUT the World Cup is bigger than any sporting ever. It isn't Denver vs. KC or SD. It is America vs. the world. Imo it is bigger than the olympics.

I would probably be willing to win the WC for 3 or 4 years of bad football. My passion for football has started to wane anyways. I used to take it way too seriously and the NFL is such a ****ty organization. Of course FIFA is the most corrupt org ever.

man, nfl are like saints compared to fifa where winner goes to the highest bidder. the nfl is corrupt, but atleast they are reserved about it. fifa is so damn blantant. qatar winning the world cup bid... unreal. myself, i love the nfl and i love the job that goodell is doing. Out of the 4 major sports in the states, only the NFL is willing to thinking forward instead of keeping traditions and rules that are outdated. This is especially true for soccer.

world cup is the biggest sporting event by far, but i don't think its the best event. i rather watch the euro cup, definitely more quality of play. I also love watching the summer olympics.

would i give up several years of being a bottom dweller for a month of USA glory in the world cup, probably not. What i would like is to see the US growth in talent over the years. Getting guys like a Xavi, Iniesta, Sneider, and have them distribute balls to a droghba and Ibra would be insanse. Then have them gel together and win the world cup. for that, i would give up a 5yrs of raider/chief like suckness. I just hope I can see USA soccer achieve something like this within my lifetime.
