New US uniforms. The only thing I hate is that the Nike Swoop is more prominent then US Flag or Logo. That is BS.

IMO that new uni looks like it belongs on a 1980's tennis player...

Pretty plain, but can't blame them for wanting all white in that Brazilian heat. The bright blue lettering on the back looks pretty sharp.

They'll never top these, though:

Those are home uniforms. There will be away ones too.

Without 5 of our best, but a pretty poor showing today against the Ukraine. We need this Aron Johannsson kid to start though.

Talent a mid field, that's great. We need some backline help.

Excited for the Cup even though I feel confident the US will not advance. I am unsure if we'll even win a game. Such a tough draw.

Would be nice for the future along with Green. I'm really hoping Gatt can turn into something.

And yes, we need defensive help so bad. Gonzalez is going to get molested in the WC.

FIFA President Sepp Blatter, told the French press that it was a mistake to award Qatar the World Cup in 2022.

Did Step Ladder also mention the trafficing of women for sex slaves that goes on at every world cup location?

They shouldn't have given it to Qatar for about 65,000,000 reasons. Money talks I guess

No Landon! I'm a little surprised, figured he'd be on the squad. Klinsy brought all the Germans. Seems like an athletic team. I dunno, but ill trust he knows what he's doing.

Does this come as any surprise? Brazil isn't ready to host this years tournament yet and there is real doubt that one of the stadiums will ever be finished. The IOC has been considering an emergency move of the 16 olympics to London because Brazil can't handle it.

Qatar was always a mistake, they will have to put the tournament close to christmas which will seriously **** with almost every national and international club tournament schedule. They use slave labor to build facilities and there WILL be scandals when fans are arrested for being drunk, for not wearing enough clothes and for generally doing what fans do. I don't know how big a bribe they used, but it must have been pretty enormous.

Would also feel more comfortable with guys like Goodson, Parkhurst, or Evans instead of Yedlin, Brooks, Beasley.

Brooks was a curious addition. Klinsmann brought all the Germans! I do really like Yedlin though...he's an up and comer, a real good athlete.

I'm going to go on a limb that Klinsmann received that 4 year extension and is preparing the USMT for 2018.

He signed a 6 year deal a few years back, correct? I think they signed him for the next 2 world cups.

If he is that is a gigantic mistake. You don't plan ahead for World Cups...4 years is an eternity and there is no way to know what kind of form guys will be in come then, or who will have emerged. You put the 23 best guys on the roster, end of story.

Now having said that, even if Donovan had made it he wouldn't have started so we are getting all bent out of shape over maybe him subbing in for a game with 15 minutes left. Not that big a deal. My biggest concern is does this cause some division in the locker room or between Klinsmann and some of the players. For a couple years now he has been preaching it's about how you play...but then he puts an 18 year old on the roster who hasn't played for his club team or the national team.
