Default How about Reggie Bush catching passes from Manning in Denver?

Quote:
Report: Dolphins “highly unlikely” to re-sign Reggie Bush

Dolphins G.M. Jeff Ireland is looking for playmakers this offseason, but that may not include impending free agent running back Reggie Bush.

Citing sources, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports Bush is “highly unlikely” to be re-signed by the Dolphins. La Canfora suspects Bush could land with a “contender” on a short-term deal, but he’s apparently not expected back in Miami.

Behind Bush on the depth chart this past season, the Dolphins had pedestrian, fumble-prone veteran Daniel Thomas and fourth-round pick Lamar Miller. Although Miller was incredibly raw as a rookie in terms of both playbook knowledge and blitz pickup, he may be the future at the position for the Dolphins. Miller averaged nearly five yards a carry in 2012.

Bush can contribute on special teams as a return specialist and is effective in limited doses as a ball carrier. His strength is still the passing game, but the Dolphins didn’t use him there with a high frequency. Despite playing in all 16 games this past season, Bush finished with 35 receptions — the second lowest total of his career.
He is coming off back to back 1,000 yard seasons. Miami doesn't use him in the passing game right, he could be a lethal weapon in our passing attack along with being a pretty good RB.

would be perfect from a offensive weapon stand point. but he'll command too much money and isn't the between the tackles runner we need.

I think it's a perfect system fit. The question will be at price.

We have a scat back here already, don't really need two.

It's not wise to spend 5-6 mil on a RB that probably won't get most of the carries.

I dont think he'd be a "scat back," but he'd be a hell of a weapon in the pass game.

I doubt they make him an offer, Hillman/Moreno are their guys for that role. Both can go between the tackles sometimes also. They'll draft a stouter back that's more of a between the tackles guy with the 2nd/3rd rounder to compete with McGahee.

i always thought he was garbage, but he's changed my mind the last two seasons. he would certainly be a game changer that this offense needs. price might be too much.

I'd like to see Moreno's cap #.....I'd personally love to see a backfield of Hester, Mcgahee, Bush and Hillman....

We don't have someone with Bush's skill set. I like this guy. He's a vet, seems to have a good head on his shoulders, can do it all, and would be awesome in the pass game. Hillman may develop into something, but for a fast, quick guy, he sure doesnt make people miss.

I'm all in with this pick up. He'll be great matched up with Manning and Moreno coming out of the back field. Bring him in

Sounds good on paper. N.O. had the same piece of paper though and ended up flushing it down the toilet.

If the price is right, I'm all for it. He would be a big upgrade over Moreno.

Always? Did you see his rookie year? Not often a rookie RB catches 88 balls for 742 yards.

Would depend on cost and if he would want to sign with Denver.

You can't spell "injury prone disappointment" without Moreno.
