I would be happy with cutting Joe Mays then signing the above.

I think I'd rather have Mays or Brooking over Urlacher at this point. Woodson would be on a 1 maybe 2 year deal and won't get huge money. Has to be for Clady

In Peyton's shoes I'm doing a Brady and playing for less. His contract limits what we can do. He makes millions on endorsements. I know it's his money and not mine, but in his shoes that's what I'd do. I'd want to be the only starting QB to ever win a Super Bowl for two teams.

Why cut Kuper now? He isn't owed anything until week 1, he has been good for us and our line was mediocre last year. See if he can improve the unit before letting him walk to Houston or Washington

Let's hope he doesn't get Belichick&Krafted like Brady did after giving up money to get his number 1 receiver back only to watch him go to the most legit conference threat for a super bowl berth.

It has to be for Clady because Woodson not worth all that much. Or it could just be a head start on next yr when we have DT to sign.

Cracks me up how fast the board turned on Kuper. It went from wow Cutthemdown you are really mean for not agreeing with us he's a top 10 guard in the NFL. Remember that thread. . I was like no he's not top 10 but hes probably our best guard. Now you all think he should be cut.

No he's still our 2nd best gaurd when healthy and if we want to win we would be better off with a healthy Kuper. At the very least hes great depth, at the most hes still a valuable starter. Unless he can't get healthy he deserves to be on the team. If he got healthy and refused a pay cut, but was only a bkup, then yes maybe you send him on his way. But before TC has even wrapped up is too soon IMO for a player who tried to play injured for us, who always played hard, and whose teammates seem to really like him.

Did we cut Manning or renegogiate his contract? Assumptions cause accidents. I never said cut Kuper...I'm saying renegogiate his k and Mays k.

Crazy thought here, but because thia thread is about renegotiating a contract one would believe that the Kuper comment was about that and not him being cut. Carry on though.

Already have $10M set aside for Clady in 2013. If Woodson wants $4M-$5M per year, then that money would have to come from some where. The Broncos can only afford about $3M per year for Woodson...and that's IF they cut McGahee.

It has to be for a move we're going to make soon otherwise there's no incentive for Peyton. We'll be bringing someone in after this. If its just to sign others to long term deals Peyton must be the best team mate ever! After next year why would he care who we have locked up long term!

All that said, I don't see how we couldn't afford Woodson anyhow!?
