Comes over from the Raiders, where he was their OC last year, 18 years NFL experience, working as a QB coach in Houston and 10 years out of the last 12 as an Offensive Co-Ordinator in the league.
Pretty good hire by the looks of it. http://www.denverbroncos.com/news-an...6-3820521891ab |

They hated him in Oakland. Not so sure why.

Was the QB coach in SF at the end of Young's career. Did pretty solid in Houston.
Wouldn't want this guy to be our OC, but as a QB coach, seems quite solid indeed. That was his second time as Oakland's OC. Probably wasn't good the first time. |

great hire for QB coach, wouldn't want him as OC but as a QB coach this is an epic hire. Fox can assemble a staff like a mother.

Well you can shine a turd and at the end of a day it's still a turd. Fans hated him because Carson Palmer sucked. But dear lord baby Jesus could be his QB coach and he would still suck. Oakland fans are dumb, they would never understand the coaches probably worked miracles to get Palmer to be just really crappy.

Raider fans hate him because the offense went from 9th in the league to 18th. Darren McFadden also couldn't get going in his zone blocking scheme.

They hated him because he had a running game that completely mis used the talents of McFadden |

Yes! Absolutely love this hire. This is all about developing Oz (and any other QB we might draft/pick up).

I hated him when he was here in Atlanta. He never really had the best talent to work with, but he was still very lackluster as an offensive coordinator. He made Mike Mularkey's playcalling look genius. I have to imagine his experience will work better as a quarterbacks coach.

I'm underwelmed!
I like that he worked with Steve Young, but other than that.... This guy has been an OC 3-4 times and never seems to keep the job. Hopefully, he doesn't influence the young Gase too much! |

Yup. The guy can clearly coach. His play calling and ability to put together an effective game plan may be questionable to some, but he won't be doing that here. He'll be coaching.
