I love the guy. I was a huge fan of his while he played for Indy, and everyone on this board loved to point out how he is simply Average(or below in the playoffs. The interception in the Super Bowl when he could've tied the game. The interception at the end of this game. These are just 2 of soooo many instances in which he's let down his team.
Yeah, there are a million other reasons that we lost this game. My point is that not only are punts in OT not acceptable, but INTs are even more unacceptable. He's so much like Brett Favra in clutch situations, and always will be. I'll always love watching him play for us. He is the Best Regular Season QB ever. I was not a bit surprised by today's game, enjoyed the hell out of this season and it unfortunately ended much like I thought it would. Without a ring. For all of those with reading comprehension problem, I did not just blame our loss on PM, but he sure didn't go out and take the game for us. Last edited by ozomulsion; 01-13-2013 at 12:31 PM.. |

He is much better QB than Brett in playoffs.
We can't trust him to win games in playoffs. Brady is much better QB than Manning. |

I'm not pinning this one in Peyton. Sorry. He wasn't amazing but he wasn't bad. I know it's a neat little narrative, but not buying it. Our d sucked

Entirely too simple if an Argument. If rahim Moore isn't a dumb a-hole this thread doesn't exist

It didn't say who it was, but had some writing surrounding it. I did a screen cap, which I pretty much never do, and cropped the good part, it is one of the most perfect asses I've ever seen. I too, wish I knew who it belongs too.

True for this week. If it wasn't this week, it would've been the next, or the next. It's always been that way, besides the year that Bob Sanders inspired his team to allow 16 PPG, and Payton got away with 3tds - 7ints on the way to his only SB ring.

Our secondary today was completely exposed.

Not just our secondary though. They were exposed in part because our vaunted edge rushers failed to get consistent pressure on the quarterback. Von could have snatched the crown from Ray Ray Old Lion to New Lion as the alpha defender in the AFC and instead he was meh. Doom got held badly a couple of times, but he also pulled a Houdini.

I don't argue any of these points, but when the game was in the hands of PFM(the most awesome QB ever!) at the end, an INT was thrown.

Perfect solution: Peyton for the season. Eli for the post-season.

If rahim Moore does his job, the story is Peyton's efficient 100+ rating day and a clutch drive for the go ahead score. It didn't happen that way. I get it. People want to attach a narrative to give something some order. Well unfortunately life doesn't work that way. Yes, he threw a bad pick in a game that shoulda been over long before that. Whatever

Same story, different team. He had the ball in his hands with a chance to win and he threw an int. He is who he is. The best regular season QB of all time. 9-11 playoff record. He looked perfectly content during his press conference. I'm not placing all the blame on him by any means, but he had the ball at the end and choked.

It was very disappointing to see Peyton throw that last horrible interception. But this game was lost by Fox and the defense in my mind. Fox refused to let Manning of the chain and Martyballed us into a loss.
I will never be able to forgive Moore for how bad he was out of position. |

I don't blame the loss on Manning so much. Yes, he had turnovers, but the Bronco defense pulled their usual crap playoff performance that we should be accustomed to by now.

I'm sorry, but was I watching a different game or was our Champ Bailey just get beat like a drum in this game? I mean the entire secondary had one of the biggest brain farts to end the 4th quarter esp. Moore. Holy salty ta tas batman was our secondary punked by the great Joe Flacco.
And where was our vertical passing game today? God I'm sooooo pissed off. |

They just showed the replay of the end of the game today... when Moore made that mistake there were 33 seconds left on the clock. If he had just pushed the guy out of bounds, our chances of winning were still good. Oh, coulda shoulda woulda...

my daughter got home from high school basketball just in time to see us lose. she asked why i wasnt all upset and cussing. i told her it was because it was manning and not elway on that last drive. as much as this game was like the loss to the jags.- total D breakdown. just like we made mark brunnel look good we made flacco look good.
manning just isnt elway w/it comes to playoff time. with the ball in our hands with just a field goal to win it and... a rookie mistake interception? after all the mistakes the broncos made, moore, bailey...manning had the game in his hands and he throws a pic. theres a reason ol number 7 went to 5 superbowls and won two. |
