Default Will Fox grow a pair for the playoffs?

Let's all hope that Fox took some male growth hormones after his heart surgery.

Either that, or Manning decides to throw the rock the next time Denver faces 3rd and 4 to close out a game!

He has become increasingly less conservative this season, and especially after his return from heart surgery. I think gase and manning are on the same page and fox will trust them. I don't foresee it being an issue

I agree. I think he's went for more 4th downs this year then all of his previous years combined. Plus, I think after the loss to the Chargers, it appears they are really going for bigger plays. We still dink and dunk but I've seen more longer pass plays recently. I know the defenses haven't been as good but still, it's good to see. You have to stretch the defense or they will just stack the box and it's not as easy to run.

I hope you're right. No more epic cave ins like last year against the Ravens. Still haven't re-watched that debacle!

We needed one more stinking fist down to ice the game, and Fox has Hillman running up the middle 3 times for no gain!

Here's hoping that we blow out every team by 20+ points and it doesn't matter.

Yep, a 20-point lead is big enough even if Fox decides to go "Full Turtle".

Hindsight is 20/20, but the three straight runs wasn't terrible game management by any means. It left the ravens with less than a minute to go 80 yards or so to tie. If Rahim doesn't have a **** up of epic proportions, the Ravens wouldn't have driven down the field and tied. It wasn't crazy to trust the defense in that situation, but in the end it bit them in the ass.

No way does Gase call that series the same way McCoy did, though. McCoy's conservative bull**** will prevent the bolts from making much noise in the postseason (well that, and their crappy defense).

On the last play of the 3xHillman series it struck me that they ought give Manning an option pass play, where if the receiver is wide open he throws it, and if it's covered he takes the sack (same as a run play). Not sure if that would have worked or not but it seemed reasonable to me in that moment

The bigger issue was taking a knee with 30 seconds left and PFM as your qb. Again, I don't see them making the same mistakes this year, and I think Gase's aggressive mindset overrules Foxy.

We had the ball, up by a touchdown with three minutes to kill. Baltimore had two timeouts and the two-minute warning. We picked up a first down, ran two minutes off the the clock, and forced them to burn all of their timeouts. They had one minute to go 80 yards with no timeouts for a touchdown. There's no excuse to let them score a touchdown. The only questionable call is the run on 3rd down, but an incomplete pass gives Baltimore two minutes to score a touchdown. That would give them a more realistic shot at winning without a lucky fluke play.

I'm not a fan of people who have two rooting interests. As you can tell ^^^^

As far as I'm concerned, the Seawads can have him.

Well, I would guess his problem is that 90% of the OP's comments towards the Broncos are negative, while 100% of his comments towards the Seahawks are positive.

So imagine KCPud starting a thread entitled "Will Fox grow a pair for the playoffs?" How would you expect people to react to that?

They definitely aren't anything special, but that seems a bit extreme.

Have you watched their last few games? It's like pulling teeth.

Don't disagree, but I've seen offenses that were far, far worse. It is funny though how offensive struggles get ignored when a team has a great defense, but the opposite isn't true. People just keep talking about the Broncos' defensive issues, but Seattle's offense has looked considerably worse of late.

You better hope that the Seahags don't choke in the playoffs, or this and other lame threads started by you will get bumped and shoved up your ***.

Hopefully in the 4th quarter we are sitting on double digit leads and won't need Fox to have a pair.

The question would be does Fox have enough confidence in this defense to put it in their hands?
