What a complete joke. Not our guys will be playing in it due to the fact we will be playing in the SB the following week.

To be fair, Colquitt was very deserving. He had great stats and can break the record for most punts pinned inside the 20 this week. I think that record got him in.
Charles obviously deserves to get in. DJ is questionable, though he is an elite ILB IMO.
Tamba isn't even the best OLB on the team. Houston was more deserving.
And Berry got in on rep, though he has played great the last month. Good to see he's back to normal.

If those you mentioned made it we would have had like 10 guys in the Probowl. I don't thing I've ever heard of a team sending that many. Were they snubbed, I don't know. Our guys that did make it deserve it and maybe a few more probably should have. DT I just don't think enough people know about him yet. Remember, the Probowl is part popularity contest. Wayne, Welker, those are names people are familiar with.

In regards to KC:
Colquitte is fine. I dont know if he was the top AFC punter, but he is always good
BTW I like our Colquitte just as much, I think they are both studs
Charles is deserving; put up great numbers despite being one of the few goods players on that team
Dj and Tamba- eh...both did pretty good but not sure "pro bowl" level
I personally think Woodyard had better years than them
Eric Berry got in on rep alone
He was terrible early on but has played better lately

Thomas not being in is just a joke.

Head to head stats.

He trails in catches, but is right at the top or clearly ahead in basically every other category. If he's not playing on a team with so many legitimate weapons he is far and away the best receiver in the AFC statistically.

It's a complete snub.

It is nice to see opposing players and coaches give Kuper the credit he deserves. Hopefully he is all healed up and ready to go for our Super Bowl run!

DT was the far biggest snub. Thought he should have gone over Wayne as he had the same yardage an fewer catches and more than double the TD's. Points win games, not catches.

Sometimes the reality is that it is difficult to breakthrough the first time to a Pro Bowl/All Star status when up against people who have been there before or perceived to be. Not always fair. Players keep the status for a short while even when the actual level of play has dropped off.

I was looking at the numbers earlier though, and you could use this same argument for Dez Bryant on the other side. I was surprised at his #'s.

I think Wayne gets the name-recognition benefit of the doubt. That's part of it. Plus there's the PMFM vs Rookie QB factor. Just this last offseason we were arguing about old Colts WRs being 'overrated' because of Peyton. You know other people are thinking along the same lines now (and appreciating Wayne more because of it)

But with Bailey making the Pro Bowl as your #1 CB, many players would have this problem. Once they throw to his side and he is shutting down the #2 receiver, he is doing his job.
I understand #1 vs #1 but it isn't like he is behind a scrub. He is behind a HOF that is still playing damn well on defense. I can see the omission based on #1 CB. Harris will get his turn. Nice problem as he probably could have been a #1 on some teams. He is getting reps without the massive pressure CB gets every season.

Kevin, your argument for the other two seems about right. Good thread IMO.

Sorry but I could care less.. All it does is raise the price of contracts when they come due.

As for recognition the players themselves know as do the coaching staffs.

I know what they have done and to get all butt hurt that amp other team has players and we do not is well less than manly IMO.

So I look at as dollar signs that I do not have to spend because they go to the pro bowl.

Both poort$$ and Ashley both wanted huge contract after going there and comparing notes on how much those other player made and their contract.

The agents also see HUGE $ signs and pump smoke up their butts about how they are over playing their current contracts.

Once again it does not bother me all that much. I think might add it gives a player more incentive when they see someone that has not had the same season they do go. so next year there is even more passion than this year.

Please do not forget how players we lost after our Super Bowl seasons because we were at cap MaX and at least four players moved on ASAP.

I'd rather keep the team together as long as I can, for as little money as I have to spend.
